Vivo X Fold 2 Specs Appear, Detailing This Foldable Phone
Released in April this year, Vivo X Fold was the company's first foldable smartphone. The Vivo X Fold+ followed in September and has been updated frequently. However, neither of these two phones entered the global market. However, the Vivo X Fold 2 might, and its specs have just surfaced.
The Vivo X Fold 2 will launch next year and some of its specifications have just surfaced.
The Vivo X Fold 2 could arrive next April, if of course Vivo plans to stick to its release cycle. Now, as Digital Chat Station has revealed, both displays will include fingerprint scanners. It would have been easier to put it aside, but Vivo decided to go the other way.
The announcer also said that the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which makes sense. Its predecessors used Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
On the back will be the Sony IMX866 sensor, which is the company's 50MP camera sensor. It looks like this sensor will be used as the main camera sensor in this phone.
The Vivo X Flip may appear alongside the Vivo X Fold 2
Now the other side has received the name Vivo X Flip. This shows that the company is also working on a foldable cover. Vivo has never released such a device, but its subsidiary, OPPO, has.
The OPPO Find N2 Flip has just been launched and first impressions are really good. Unlike the OPPO Find N2, this phone will hit global markets in the first half of next year.
We're not sure if the Vivo X Flip will be anything like this phone, but we'll see. OPPO's vertical folding is a bit different from Vivo, so it remains to be seen what will happen with Vivo's folding cover.
We're sure to get more information in the future, but it looks like Vivo could launch these two foldable models as early as next year. If we had to guess, we'd say the Vivo X Flip will launch alongside the Vivo X Fold 2. Note that the name of the Vivo X Flip has not been confirmed or anything like that.
