Vivo V27 Pro Review

Vivo V27 Pro Review

FOREWORD

The Vivo V27 trio is finally official and quite interesting: there is the regular V27 focusing on rear camera quality, then the smaller V27e and the updated V27 Pro with flagship performance and excellent camera quality on both sides. Today we will look at its most interesting representative - vivo V27 Pro.

The new Vivo V27 Pro is a significant upgrade over the previous V23 Pro and V25 Pro models. While both mid-range models are camera-focused, this one tops them off with a seemingly superior camera package and flagship chipset. It also has a larger screen but manages to keep its thin and light design.

Let's start with the design: it's reminiscent of the V23 Pro and V25 Pro models, which use a color-changing backplate that remains slim at 7.4mm. But the vivo V27 Pro has a larger 6.78-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

One of the highlights is the new chipset - MediaTek Dimensity 8200 - SoC, built on a more efficient 4nm process compared to the previous model's 6nm Dimensity 1200 and 1300. It offers huge CPU and GPU performance improvements, supports new RAM and storage, offers better ISPs, and offers enhanced connectivity.

The cameras have also been upgraded, with a triple camera on the back with a 50MP OIS camera on the front, an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro camera. The selfie camera is promising - a 50MP eyepiece with wide-angle lens and autofocus support is an improvement over the V25 Pro, but slightly worse than the V23 Pro with 50MP + 8MP + dual LED flash.

Vivo V27 Pro is powered by a 4600mAh battery and supports 66W fast wired charging. The new smartphone runs the latest vivo software, now with Android 13 Funtouch 13.
