FunTouch OS 13 Tips And Tricks: Get The Most From Your Vivo Or IQOO Smartphone
Vivo's flagship phones, including models from the iQOO sub-brand, run Android called FunTouch OS, at least for the global variant.
The brand's phones use a slightly different skin called Origin OS in China, but we haven't had much experience with it.
The latest version is called FunTouch OS 13 and is based on Android 13, although most of these tips apply to older versions of FunTouch as well.
So, if you want to get the most out of your Vivo phone, here are some of the most helpful tips, tricks, and features we've found.
Basic settings:
There are a few settings that we recommend you change when you get your Vivo phone for the first time. First, fast charging is disabled by default, so if you want to take advantage of Vivo's amazing FlashCharge technology, you need to enable it. Go to Settings , select Battery , and then turn on Fast Charging . While in this menu, you can also enable the battery percentage.
Next, my friend, you want to disable the watermark in the camera app, here's how to do it. Open the camera, tap the settings button in the top right corner, then tap More Settings . The best option is watermark , turn it on and off on the watermark for photos and videos.
For some reason, Vivo phones tend to ignore Wi-Fi from the quick settings menu in the notification bar, although it's one of the settings we found easy to work with. To add it, click the pencil icon in the bottom left corner of the quick settings menu, press and hold, then drag the Wi-Fi icon to the menu.
How to enable split screen mode 
We love split screen mode, especially when we need to copy information from one app to another or send a message without interrupting a YouTube video.
On Vivo phones, you just need to open the app, tap the screen with three fingers, and swipe up to split the screen. At the bottom of the screen, you will see a list of applications that you can open. If you wish, you can reorder these apps for easier access by holding and dragging the icons, just like you can reorder the icons on the home screen.
How to use one-handed mode 
One-handed mode is available in FunTouch OS, but it works a little differently than usual. To activate it, you must first go to the "Settings" menu, then "Shortcuts and Accessibility" . Go to One Hand and activate it.
The animation will show you the correct move, which is a bit more complicated than usual and involves swiping from right to left without lifting your finger. Performing the same movement on the opposite side of the screen will help lefties.
When enabled, the entire screen shrinks to the bottom right (or left) corner, making it easy to access everything with one hand. Pressing the X icon will return you to your normal view, while pressing any other icon allows you to switch windows with one hand.
How to program phone features 
A very powerful feature that is often overlooked is FunTouch OS's ability to customize your phone's features. You can use it to turn your phone off automatically when you sleep and turn it back on before you wake up. At a time when energy prices are skyrocketing, this not only saves battery power, but also money.
You can also set your phone to vibrate during work hours or turn off the sound while you go to the movies with the countdown timer.
To enable scheduling, you must return to the Shortcuts and Accessibility menu and select Task Timer to access the controls. It's pretty clear from here.
How to use smart gestures 
Another great feature of the Shortcuts and Accessibility menu is Smart Motion . In the Smart Motion menu, you can enter various settings to make your phone more convenient.
Some of our favorite features include the Raise to Wake feature, which is available from the smart screen menu and allows you to unlock your phone by simply lifting it off the table. The other is Smart Switch from the Smart Calling menu, which allows you to switch from a connected Bluetooth device to your phone by holding the phone to your ear.
There are also gestures that you can draw on the lock screen to activate various features, all of which can be found in the Smart Wake menu. We like to draw the letter "M" the most to start playing music, it's very convenient.
Become a power user with Easy Touch 
Still want more power? Then it's time to discover Easy Touch. It's also included in the Shortcuts and Accessibility menu, tap to enable Easy Touch .
Once activated, it adds a small floating circle icon to the right side of the screen that stays on the edge when not in use. Clicking on the icon opens a small menu with quick access to frequently used tools and applications.
The menu is highly customizable and you can add more shortcuts by interacting with the closed menu. For example, you can map a flashlight by double-clicking the Easy Touch icon, or start screen recording by long-pressing the icon. The possibilities are almost endless.
