Y20 Summit Concludes In Kashi
The four-day Youth Summit-20 under the auspices of the G-20 concluded successfully at the Rudraksha International Cooperation and Convention Center (RICCC) on Sunday. More than 100 young people from G20 countries, invited countries and international organizations participated in the discussion on the formation of the Y20 communication. In particular, they discussed and discussed five Y20 themes including the future of the world of work; peace building and reconciliation; climate change and disaster risk reduction; Shared future, health, wellness and sport.
The second day of the Y20 summit was inaugurated by Prime Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Youth and Sports Minister Anurag Tagore was also present. This event is an important event that provides a platform for youth face-to-face discussions, exchange ideas and create a roadmap for global youth development to address the challenges faced by youth.
India assumed the leadership of the G20 on December 1, 2022 for a year till November 30 this year. Under the auspices of the G20 Presidency, the Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Government of India organized the Y20 Summit in the Holy City, which is the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On the last day Pankaj Kumar Singh, Director of Youth Department, Ministry of Youth and Sports; S Rajalingam, District Magistrate (Varanasi); Prashant Kakkar (IIS), M&CO, PIB; Anmol Sovit, President of Y20; Y20 India Head of Delegation Falit Caesarea and Y20 India Head Lakshith Mittal addressed Y20 India's press conference at the closing press conference of the Y20 Summit.
According to them, several activities were held under the overall G20 Presidency, including Y20 curtain raising in New Delhi, opening meeting in Guwahati, pre-Y20 summit in Leh (Ladakh), 14 consultations on Y20 in various universities. Countries and 50 Intelligence Sessions by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Research and Information Systems (RIS) for Developing Countries. Led by India, within the overall framework of the G-20, the Y20 has set a new milestone for the world. The Y20 Communiqué was discussed and discussed at the summit and then successfully signed by global consensus.
They said the main recommendations in the statement were to increase continuing education; preparing a global workforce to meet the challenges; strengthen international cooperation in the field of research; Promote universal workers' rights and provide accessible and sustainable funding and advice.
The plenary session held on the last day was chaired by Sharad Vivek Sagar, Anmol Sovit, Pathikrit Paye, Falit Cesaria and Aditi Narayani Paswan. The Y20 2023 Communiqué was issued by a troika of countries comprising the President of Y20 India, representatives of the Indonesian Organizing Committee and the Brazilian Organizing Committee. The flag was officially handed over by the President of Y20 India to the head of the Brazilian delegation.
The outcomes of the summit were signed by the heads of delegation in the form of the Y20 Communiqué, which was the culmination of various discussions held over the past few months. It shows a shared vision of the five themes identified at Y20, which will ensure that young people's voices are heard by high-level decision-makers on global platforms.
During the 4-day summit, the delegates visited Sarnath, the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the Ganga river ghats during a river cruise. India's rich arts, culture and heritage have left a deep impression on delegates from all over the world. The holy city of Varanasi has a rich and varied cultural heritage. Its spirituality, literature, art and music also attract representatives of G20 countries, invited countries and international organizations.
