- The Chinese brand Vivo has confirmed the information about the global version of its X100 series smartphones.
- The company notes that the X100 series will be available in Asia, while Europe will only receive the Pro model.
- The prices and opening dates of these markets are not yet known.
Last month, Vivo launched the X100 and X100 Pro smartphones in China, the first phones equipped with MediaTek's new flagship Dimensity 9300 chipset. Fortunately, the company has published a global list of the best new phones.
Vivo has confirmed that the X100 series will be available in India, Indonesia and Southeast Asia. However, the European market will only feature the X100 Pro. We assume that the phone will not be available in Germany due to a legal dispute with Nokia.
The Chinese brand has not confirmed the Indian or European pricing but has revealed that the X100 will sell for HK$5,998 (~$768). Meanwhile, the X100 Pro sells for HK$7,998 (~$1,024). For what it's worth, the previous Pro and Pro Plus models sold for 1,300 (~$1,424) in Europe, so don't be surprised if the X100 Pro hits that mark.

Both phones have some features like Dimensity 9300 chipset, 6.78-inch LTPO OLED panel, and IP68 rating. The Vivo X100 Pro is powered by a 5400mAh battery with 100W wired charging/50W wireless charging and a flexible triple rear camera setup. These cameras include a 50MP IMX989 sensor, a 50MP 4.1x periscope camera, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
The X100 Pro also has a movie portrait mode, which could be the first competitor to the iPhone's movie mode. That is, the mode has the ability to automatically switch focus between subjects, unlike the portrait video modes currently available on Android. Vivo offers a solar mode with its periscope camera to capture the sun (surprisingly).
Meanwhile, the standard X100 packs a 5,000mAh battery with 120W wired charging (no wireless charging here) and an underpowered triple camera. On the back, there is a 50MP IMX920 main camera, a 64MP 3x telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera.
Either way, we hope Vivo doesn't waste any time bringing these phones to the global market. Between the OnePlus 12, Galaxy S24 and Xiaomi 14 series, there will be no shortage of quality phones in early 2024.
