Yogi, Anurag To Attend Y20 Summit
As part of the G20, the Y20 summit will be held in the city from 17 to 20 August. The conference will be attended by leading experts, decision makers, national and international delegates/representatives from G-20 countries, knowledge partners (IIM Raipur) and academicians. Partners (universities/institutions) to negotiate, finalize and sign the Y20 Declaration resulting from the discussions of the last months.
Pankaj Kumar Singh, director of India's Youth Ministry, who provided this information, said the Y20 meeting will be chaired by Union minister Yogi Adityanath. Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur and other celebrities.
“The Y20 meeting will create opportunities to work together with other stakeholders and promote youth development,” the official said, urging all stakeholders to use the opportunity to learn, network and connect.
He further said that the Y20 declaration will capture the essence of our common vision in five themes and make the voices of young people heard in the highest decision-making bodies. “Y20 is one of the official G20 groups tasked with organizing talks with India,” he said.
“Y20 will create a platform for young people to express their voices and ideas on G20 priorities,” he said, adding that the five Y20 themes are building the future of work (Industry 4.0, Innovation and 21st Skills century ). Peace and reconciliation. (Promoting an era without war), Climate change and disaster risk reduction (Making resilience a way of life), Shared future (Youth empowerment in democracy and governance) and Health, security and sport (Youth agenda).
According to him, the Summit will encourage young people to think by providing a global perspective on current issues, creating awareness of new opportunities, building self-confidence and self-esteem, interacting with Indian politicians and presenting ideas. Address environmental issues constructively, developing young people's sense of being active agents rather than passive recipients of knowledge and interacting with mixed groups to build networks. It will also help Indian knowledge institutions to have an insight into the importance of international consultations and how the outside world can influence us and gain practical experience in organizing consultations,” Singh said.
