When the Realme Watch 3 debuted earlier this year, it came with Bluetooth calling as a standout feature. Now there is the Realme Watch 3 Pro. That's right, now even smartwatches have a "Pro" version. The Realme Watch 3 Pro comes with an AMOLED display and built-in GPS along with a few other tweaks, but costs a little more at Rs 4,999. Is it worth the money? Find out in my full review below.

Realme Watch 3 Pro. What is good?

To sue

The Realme Watch 3 Pro features a brilliant 1.78-inch AMOLED display that delivers sharper colors and deeper blacks than most smartwatches with TFT displays. This allows you to enjoy other black and dark watch faces as is and also offers a more premium look when the display is off. With the screen on, you can enjoy a lot of cool clocks here, some of which are animated and look really good.

The watch's wear and tear detection also needs work, as I've noticed that the always-on display lights up when the watch is placed on a table and placed on a poly sheet, although the setting only lights up when stored. This can be fixed with an update.

Behind fitness more possibilities

Tracking your heart rate and steps throughout the day is easy with the Realme Watch 3 Pro, which displays fairly accurate results. However, the same cannot be said for the sleep tracking feature, which is hit or miss at times.

The watch also supports 24-hour heart rate and SpO2 monitoring, which is a nice addition for this price point. For heart rate, the user can set the watch to take a reading every 5, 10, or 20 minutes, as well as alert the user if the reading falls below or above a certain number.

This watch also has a number of other features that I really like. For example, the camera controls allow you to take photos from your phone by touching the watch. While this feature has appeared before, it's usually done through a dedicated app rather than the phone's default camera app. That's not the case here, and I was able to use the watch to take pictures with the Nothing Phone 1 via the built-in camera app. Music playback controls also work as expected.

Bluetooth call

The Realme Watch 3 Pro's Bluetooth calling feature is great for the price. The watch can use the built-in microphone and speaker to answer calls directly from the watch via Bluetooth and it works perfectly without any issues with the microphone input or audio output through the speaker. However, there is more.

Unlike some cheaper Bluetooth smartwatches where the watch acts as a Bluetooth headset and routes all calls to itself, the Realme Watch 3 Pro is different. When you receive a call from your phone, you can always talk through the headset, even if your watch is on. The watch's ring mechanism will only activate when you receive a call from the watch itself. It was very comfortable.

Battery life and charging

The Realme Watch 3 Pro can easily last a week with AoD (wear and tear detection) enabled and regular use of heart rate and SpO2 tracking. For very heavy use, it should last at least 4-5 days for most people. It also loads pretty quickly.

Another great addition is the dedicated charger. With the Realme Watch 3 Pro, you get a proper magnetic charging pad that's easier to use and more reliable than the flimsy-looking pogo-pin magnetic charging you get on most other watches in this price bracket. This makes charging the Watch 3 Pro easier.

Realme Watch 3 Pro. What's not so great?

draft

The design of the Realme Watch 3 Pro isn't bad, the rectangular watch face with metal sides and TPU strap is a tried and true formula by now and that's what sets the Realme Watch 3 Pro apart from the rest. . There's a sea of budget rectangular smartwatches out there.

It's not a great solution if you don't care about aesthetics, but the Realme Watch 3 Pro looks like any other budget smartwatch, despite having an edge over almost every competitor in this segment.

Verdict: Should you buy the Realme Watch 3 Pro?

A solid package under Rs 4,999, the Realme Watch 3 Pro offers a great display, accurate tracking and reliable connectivity via the Realme Link app with smart Bluetooth calling and connectivity features. If you can see behind the stunning design of the Watch 3 Pro, it's a solid recommendation from me in this segment. The lively offer is lively on the Realme website and it even offers you a Rs 500 discount on the price.
