Realme Teases The GT Neo 5 SE But Won't Say When It'll Launch
Realme teased the launch of its next smartphone, but did not say when we can expect it to be properly revealed.
The phone in question is the Realme GT Neo 5 SE, a phone based on the GT Neo 5 with 240W charging and above. And while it won't have the same charging capabilities, the GT Neo 5 SE may not be as quick as expected.
Realme teased the phone through a post on the Chinese social media site Weibo. The company claims that machine translation will make the phone a "minimal SE" phone. This could indicate that the GT Neo 5 SE will not be as thin as one would expect from a phone of this type. However, we'll definitely need Realme to fill in the gaps before we can be sure.
While we wait, GizmoChina shows us some supposed specs to get us going. These rumors include the Realme GT Neo 5 SE shipping with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 chip, though the unannounced chip might be called something else. Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 is one such option.
Other specs include a 6.74-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a fast 144Hz refresh rate. Inside, we expect LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, and the chassis will be aluminum.
Moving on to the camera, the 64-megapixel main camera will be joined by additional 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors, while a 16-megapixel camera will take selfies. A fingerprint scanner under the screen will take care of biometrics, and there will also be an infrared emitter. It's something you don't see every day.
Finally, the 5500mAh battery will be paired with 100W fast charging. It's not quite as fast as the Realme GT Neo 5's 240W charging, but that's nothing to write home about.
