Realme smartphones have made a splash in the Indian smartphone industry due to the features they offer at an affordable price. The recently launched Realme C55 aims to be no different with some peach features, camera modes, fast charging and more, all in an affordable package.
Let's take a closer look at what this latest Realme phone has to offer.
Quality design and installation
Starting from the design, Realme C55 is elegant and relatively easy to use. At just 7.89mm thin, this is one of the thinnest smartphones in its segment. The flat design with curved corners gives it an iPhone-like aesthetic, but the back is different.
The Rainy Night version of the phone has these vertical matte lines on the back. The other color of the Sunshower is bright and champagne.
The build quality of the phone seemed good enough for its price range, with none of the keys creaking or vibrating.
Screen
The Realme C55 features a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display with vibrant colors and excellent contrast levels. The screen is bright enough to be used in direct sunlight, but don't expect high levels of brightness. The touch response is smooth and smooth.
And when it comes to a USP phone that I haven't seen in any Android smartphone on the market today, comes the Mini Capsule. Provides notifications for charging, data usage, and more. It can intelligently position part of the screen around the camera cutout to show things like "It looks a lot like Apple's iPhone speaker island." The phone tries to mimic an island with Apple's iPhone speakers, but its use is still very limited.
camera
Another great feature of the Realme C55 is the 64 MP main camera. good enough for the price. The camera performs exceptionally well in a variety of lighting conditions, delivering crisp, detailed images with accurate color reproduction.
Night mode is good thanks to Pro Light imaging technology software and a multi-frame algorithm that retains more detail in low light conditions. There is noise in the photo, but this is to be expected with a small aperture of the phone's camera.
Street Shooting mode is also a welcome addition, allowing you to capture clear shots in changing conditions.
The bokeh portrait mode separates the protagonist well from the background.
The punch-hole houses an 8-megapixel front-facing camera that takes decent selfies with natural skin tones.
Performance and battery life
The Realme C55 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G95 processor coupled with up to 8GB of RAM. DRE technology increases the amount of RAM up to 16 GB, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted user experience.
The Realme C55 handled my day-to-day tasks with ease and even performed well in graphics-intensive games at low settings.
I played Genshin Impact and Asphalt 9 for a long time and the performance mode on the C55 handled it like a champ.
The 5000 mAh battery is impressive and easily lasts a day. The 33W SUPERVOOC charger is the fastest in its segment, charging your phone up to 50% in just 29 minutes and up to 100% in 63 minutes.
Evaluation and conclusion
All in all, the Realme C55 is the perfect smartphone for buyers looking for an affordable device. It offers a good mix of features and performance. The design and build quality are not bad for the price as the phone holds up well.
While the phone doesn't support 5G networks, that shouldn't be a problem as there are hardly any other 5G options in this price range.
