Bass Lovers Rejoice: Realme Buds T300 Review And Analysis

"The up to 3,000 TWS segment seems to be filling up every week. Now we have many options like OnePlus, Oppo, JBL and now Realme has launched Buds T300 TWS for Rs 2299. Let's try them out. Their performance may or may not vary."

Design . The T300 comes in a plastic casing with Realme branding, a USB Type-C port at the bottom and a small LED in the middle. The interior of the case has a wooden brown color (like the exterior of the Realme brand) which looks great. The buttons fit well and I didn't notice any shifting or movement when carrying it in the case. The charging case may not be high-quality, but it still feels very sturdy when you close or open the lid.

The knobs have a stem cell design with rubber tips and come with two extra pairs in the box for different sizes. The case weighs 41 grams and the buttons weigh 4.1 grams each and are very comfortable even during long periods of use. You have small left and right indicators marked on the corresponding switch, which has 4 noise canceling microphones.

The T300 Buds are IP55 water and dust resistant, so gym use and light splashes should be fine.

Sound and features . The headphones feature Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and support SBC, AAC and Dolby Atmos codecs (if your phone and source stream support them). It's powered by 12.4mm drivers, which we've seen in Realme headphones before. There is audio support for 360-degree spatial audio, again if your source has it.

In terms of sound quality, ducks clearly have high bass. They are aggressive with the bass and give it more weight compared to other frequencies. It handles sounds well, but the sound is a bit soft for the trio and when playing different instruments together, like a sound stage, but this is to be expected for a wireless headset at this price.

As for their active noise cancellation, the headphones have good ANC quality for low-frequency noise, but sound quality suffers a bit when ANC is enabled.

There is also a transparency mode. Gaming mode is enabled through the Realme Link app, so there is very little lag on the headset while watching videos and playing games.

Each headset has touch controls to pause or resume playback, turn ANC on or off, change songs, answer calls, and activate Google Assistant. These don't have Google's "quick pair" connection, though I've found them to pair quickly with a smartphone in most cases.

Battery life . Each bud has a 43mAh battery while the case packs a 460mAh battery. You can expect 6-7 hours of playback (with ANC off) and over a day and a half of total playback on a single charge with the charging case as a power backup.

The verdict . In short, the Buds T300 don't have the best sound quality at this price, but what they do have is a bass-rich sound output and excellent battery life. If these two are your priorities in wireless headphones, you should consider these Realme headphones. Otherwise, the Realme Redmi Buds 4 Active and Buds Air 3 Neo are still worth it.
