We have the Realme 10 Pro for our review, which replaces the previously released 9 Pro. 9 Pro has received mixed reviews in the market, which the company wants to fix by introducing an improved version.

We received the 33W adapter, USB-C to USB-A cable, clear silicone plastic case, SIM eject pin, and documentation.

Design

Out of the box, the new Realme 10 Pro looks good with a flat design that offers more space. This phone is very light and easy to hold, especially because of the plastic body. The back of the phone has a very attractive attractive design. The Hyperspace variant we reviewed comes with one color scheme; As its angle changes, so does the pattern. Regardless of the frame, the two rear camera sensors can also be seen sitting on the back.

A rectangular metal frame separates the power button on the back and front with an integrated fingerprint sensor. The volume rocker is on the right, and on the left is a hybrid SIM tray that allows you to use a microSD card. At the bottom is a 3.5mm headphone jack (which we think is a good move by the company), a USB Type-C port, and a speaker jack. The overall design is attractive, but we prefer a flat, minimalist aesthetic.

The new Realme 10 Pro comes with a 6.7-inch IPS LCD screen with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate. When the screen is silent for a long time, the sound is reduced to 60Hz. Being an IPS screen, you don't get HDR support, but the company has used Widevine L1 to improve the content quality. Colors reproduced are bright and clear, but the screen lacks deep blacks to make video content more beautiful. The brightness level is good, the screen is easy to see.

The latest Realme 10 Pro is one of the first smartphones to run on Android 13, with the company's UI 4.0 on top. The updated UI offers a cleaner look and it comes with some new features, but nothing major that makes it more unique than the Realme 9 Pro.

processor

Realme 10 Pro is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset with two cores clocked at 2.2GHz Kryo 660 Gold (Cortex-A78) and the other six cores clocked at 1.7GHz Kryo 560 Silver (Cortex)).

This processor is based on TSMC's 6nm manufacturing process. It handles all tasks efficiently, be it multitasking or gaming. This phone has 8 GB of RAM which helps the processor to handle the work faster and it has 128 GB of ROM storage. Gaming is smooth, with a 120Hz refresh rate allowing games to run smoothly. It is true that the phone has one of the best in the price segment and definitely beats its predecessor on the performance front.

Camera

Realme 10 Pro's camera has seen a huge improvement. The company opted for a simpler camera setup by only including two rear camera sensors, a 108MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and a secondary sensor with a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. Unlike its predecessors, the company opted not to use macro and ultra-wide angle lenses. For selfies, there's a 16MP lens with an f/2.5 aperture.

Realme 10 Pro captures beautiful images in daylight with high brightness levels, pleasing colors, strong contrast, and wide dynamic range. One of the advantages of this phone is clarity. We love how well images are rendered, with even the most detailed elements captured perfectly. Also, there is no excessive noise. Portraits are also good, but you need patience and good lighting conditions to capture detailed images with good dynamic range. Photos taken at night are also of high quality. They have decent contrast and color balance, but we did notice some noise effects when taking pictures. In addition, the sharpness of the image at night is very average.

You can also choose to record at a full 108MP resolution, which isn't too bulky.

Selfies taken are very accurate with perfect color balance and sharpness. Portrait mode also works well with selfies, separating the background perfectly.

Drums

The Realme 10 Pro comes with the same 5000mAh battery found in the Realme 9 Pro, so there are no changes to the battery specifications. The battery easily lasts a day, and the processor helps the phone manage power consumption. To charge the phone, there is a 33W fast charger that charges the phone from 0 to 100 percent in an hour and a half.

Facility

The latest Realme 10 Pro outperforms its predecessor with a better 108MP main camera, a slightly better display, and the new Android operating system.

It ticks all the boxes in the price segment to make it a good contender, but as the successor to the 9 series phones, we think the company could use an OLED panel to make the 10 Pro more desirable.
