Heres Our First Look At Vivos Galaxy Z Flipstyle Foldable
Ever since Oppo introduced the Find N2 Flip in February, the clamshell foldable race has heated up a bit, giving the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip some real competition. Like the Galaxy Z Flip 4, Oppo's rival could become a bit more compact, although its main selling point is a larger 3.26-inch display, up from the previous 1.9-inch external display. Oppo's BBK-branded Vivo could use the same formula if the official image is confirmed.
The latest leak comes from Digital Chat Station, which posted a picture of Chinese actress Wang Jiwen that looks like the Vivo X Flip on Weibo (via 9to5google ). The image matches the recently leaked schematics of the phone and it shows a large horizontal display. Furthermore, the external display has a 16:9 aspect ratio, unlike the portrait orientation of the Oppo Find N2 Flip.
Regardless, the larger screen means seeing more information without having to rotate the device. This is useful when you need the viewfinder for other uses, such as checking the weather when taking a selfie. It's also much larger than the Galaxy Z Flip 4's external display, which shows Vivo taking on Samsung's crown.
Beneath the protective screen is a large camera housing, and if the schematic diagram is correct, Vivo's setup could house two lenses. It's also possible that the Vivo X will use the Zeiss branding for the Flip camera, like it did with the Vivo X90 series.
It's worth noting that this is the first time we've seen an actual render of a foldable phone from Vivo with a mold. However, apart from the possible design, not much is known about the phone at the moment.
On the other hand, previous rumors claimed that the device will have a 6.8-inch display with up to 120Hz. Qualcomm says a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC is running under the hood. Vivo is expected to launch the X Fold 2 in the second quarter, which makes sense since it will be the X Flip.
