Oppo Find N3 Specifications Tipped, May Get Bigger Display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC: All Details
After launching its second horizontally foldable smartphone, the Find N2, Oppo is now working on its successor. Like the Find N, the Find N2 is exclusive to Oppo's home market. The new foldable device, currently called the Oppo Find N3, is said to offer several upgrades, including a larger screen, battery and the latest processor from chip maker Qualcomm. The source also hinted at the design of the upcoming smartphone without going into details.
Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station has released some details of Oppo's upcoming foldable phone, which is listed as the Find N3. This is the first set of Oppo Find N3 details to be made available to the public, and the first we've heard about the device itself since Oppo recently unveiled the Find N successor last December.
The announcer claims that the upcoming device will have a larger 8-inch built-in display with a resolution of 2268 x 2440 pixels. It will also have a 120Hz screen refresh rate. The new display looks like an improvement over the current model as it offers a higher resolution as well as a larger size. The source did not elaborate on the Find N3's design, saying only that it will be "ultra-thin," which would be a step up from the current phone's form factors, which are thicker when folded.
As for the processor, it should be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. RAM and storage details have not been released. What we get are the details of the foldable camera. The Find N3 is said to have a dual selfie camera like the previous model, but according to the tipper, it will have a 20-megapixel camera on the outer screen and a 30-megapixel selfie camera on the inner screen.
The rear panel may house a 50-megapixel main camera (Sony IMX890) with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (Sony IMX581) and a L07D1W22 periscope camera, the source said. . The periscope camera appears to be identical to OnePlus' previously unlaunched foldable device, according to a recent memo from the same source.
Oppo Find N3 battery data is also available. The phone is expected to have a 4,805 mAh battery, which is slightly larger than the previous model's 4,520 mAh battery.
Earlier reports based on the same source pointed out that the OnePlus Fold will be different. However, we are now starting to see some similarities with the looks and camera components of these two unreleased smartphones. Since all the above information is based on hearsay, we advise our readers to take this information with a grain of salt.
