OPPO Find N3 Flip Review: Should You Buy It?
OPPO Find N3 Flip is finally a foldable smartphone without damaging the camera. It's hard to imagine OPPO could have done more with a larger clamshell display, but the combination of a bright, crease-free internal display, solid overall construction, and impressive battery life make the Find N3 Flip a great flip device.

If you've seen the N2 Flip last year, it's clear that the N3 Flip is an evolution of the same design that was first introduced in the US. Although similar in appearance, the improved flex hinge is 25% stronger and still ensures no gaps and less screen clutter. The N3 Flip ditches the hardware with a new alert slider that offers silent, vibrate and ringer settings without opening the phone – a nice touch. The same IPX4 rating remains, but tougher Corning Gorilla Glass Victos protection protects the phone from drops. The internal display still looks brilliant, and it's clear that time spent perfecting OPPO's flip phone hardware has been well spent.
The display cover also looks familiar (it's the same panel). The N2 Flip was one of the biggest displays when it launched, but now it's one of the smaller options. However, OPPO has improved the software experience for third-party apps as well as weather, timer, camera, calls, voice recorder and now 3D pet widgets. I had no problem accessing many useful tools without unlocking the phone.
The Find N3 Flip offers improved hardware, but doesn't solve all the problems of the previous generation.
"Apps," according to OPPO, are popular apps like X (formerly Twitter), WhatsApp, Gmail, Google Maps, Wallet, and more that open on the home screen. You don't need to download them separately (they are the same app, they just work on a smaller screen), but you do need to enable each one in the settings menu. These are found in the laboratory, which indicates that errors can occur. I don't find anything that detracts from the experience, but the setting is definitely smoother.
My biggest complaint is that the screen is too small to accommodate the keyboard, so it still requires a lot of screen real estate to see if you're responding. Sending messages and emails from the home screen is a chore, I simply turned the phone on without serving its purpose. Even pressing small application buttons hurts. Additionally, app support isn't as extensive as the Motorola Razr's front-facing display with full Android support. Your experience will vary, but I certainly couldn't use my phone for long without unlocking it.
OPPO claims that the relatively small screen ensures a balanced focus on the camera setup. It's a little hard to believe when the lens is housed in a small camera body with the Hasselblad logo that distinguishes it from other OPPO/OnePlus phones. I understand the desire for brand recognition in all phones, but aesthetically this phone falls short of its predecessor. When you look at what competitors are doing with bigger screens, the extra space seems like a waste.
However, OPPO has updated its ultra-wide-angle model to a 48MP f/2.2 model, and this time there's a third lens: a 32MP monster with a 47mm focal length 2x zoom. It's not a game-changer for long-range photography, but it's a great addition for portraits. let's see.
First, OPPO's partnership with Hasselblad has evolved into a rich side of color science. Mostly, though, I like the look; This is a significant improvement over last year's poor results. It's great for portraits and product photography and is my favorite lens of the three. The only downside is that the telephoto lens isn't always active for close-up macro shots, which results in very sharp zoom photos when you rely on the main camera.
Of course, 2x optical devices have limitations. It doesn't even remotely match the Galaxy S23 Ultra's 10x zoom. OPPO lets you zoom up to 20x, but the results are confusing. Stick with 5x zoom, which is more than adequate in most situations, and this camera kit won't disappoint.
Not much to say about selfies; You should use the main camera to make the results look as good as your other photos. Textures and skin tones are excellent, as is optional software bokeh. The only obvious disadvantage is that the low position of the camera makes positioning easier. It took a few shots before I got used to flipping the phone. Although this is disappointing, the internal camera is not good; I only use it for video calls.
The triple camera is the most important reason to buy OPPO Find N3 Flip.
You wouldn't buy a flip phone for gaming, but the Find N3 Flip has us a little concerned about temperatures. It's not that the phone is hot, it's trying too hard to be cool.
First of all, performance is lower than what we saw on the MediaTek Dimension 9200 phone; The Pixel 7 is close to the Tensor G2. It is still suitable for everyday work and has the advantage of keeping the device very cool while gaming due to its frame rate. To fix this you can enable high performance mode. Speaking of which, this low performance figure also means battery life is pretty good. The phone easily lasts all day. In our tests, you'll get 10 hours of web browsing, 16 hours of video streaming, and under five hours of heavy gaming.
A limited thermal core also affects OPPO's SuperVOOC fast charging. Although the 44W peak power only lasts for a few seconds, the phone spends most of its charging time at less than 20W. Thus, the Find N3 Flip charges in 52 minutes and reaches 50% in 23 minutes. That's faster than last year, but not too fast for a 4,300mAh battery. But we warn you, 15W from the SuperVOOC charger is not good and means that the phone will be very slow when using third-party plugs and power banks.

The phone has a large clamshell screen and a wide range of shortcut apps, albeit with notifications. Samsung offers wireless charging, IPX8 rating and other color options. But OPPO Find N3 Flip has a more powerful camera and invisible folding.
