Unisa Earns Top Honor At Sasol Techno X 2023!

Unisa has successfully won the prestigious Collaboration Catalyst Award at this year's Sasol Techno.

From 14 to 18 August 2023, the Unisa College of Science, Engineering and Technology, in collaboration with the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, has left an indelible mark on the Sasol Techno Mathematics Career Guide.

At the official opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Buti Manamela laid the foundation for innovation and creativity. At this year's Sasol Techno X, he highlighted the evolution of integrating art with innovation, science, engineering and technology, emphasizing its importance in education and progress. “Interacting with art is very important,” she said.

Addressing the 12th grade students, Manamela urged them to not just aim to pass, but to use the fair as a platform to make informed decisions about their future learning: “You will definitely pass, you will pass. I passed the exam with very high marks, but I would recommend you use this exhibit when deciding where to study next year.”

Now to the peak! On August 17, 2023, 12 awards in various categories were presented to the participants of the exhibition during the award ceremony. The Unisa exhibition team has won and received the prestigious Collaboration Catalyst Award. This award was presented by Sasol Techno, which underlines its commitment to promoting interdisciplinary approaches to solving complex problems.
