Four Redmi Note 12 Phones Just Got Global Variants

The company announced four devices including Redmi Note 12 Pro + 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 12 5G, and Redmi Note 12. Needless to say, these are all mid-range smartphones but with interesting specifications. . With them, the Redmi Watch 3 was announced.
Design-wise, all of these phones look very similar. There are slight differences, especially in the back. They all have a central screen with a hole for the camera and flat screens. On this occasion, Xiaomi has also opted for flat sides.
Let's talk about the specifications to find out the differences between the models. We will be mixing Redmi Note 12 Pro + 5G and Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G as they have very similar specifications. The same goes for the other two phones. But let's focus on the higher-end models for now.
Redmi Note 12 Pro + 5G and Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G
These two smartphones share the same screens. Both phones feature a 6.67-inch FullHD+ Flow AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. MediaTek Dimensity 1080 supports both smartphones.
The front camera is also a generic 16MP unit. Stereo speakers are included in both phones, as well as support for Dolby Atmos. You'll also find an audio jack on both phones. The same applies to IR blaster and Bluetooth 5.2.
And on top of that, they come in the same colors. Both devices are available in Midnight Black, Polar White, and Sky Blue colours. However, there are some differences between the two, so let's see what they are.
Redmi Note 12 Pro + 5G has a 200MP main camera along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. On the other hand, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G has a 50MP main camera (Sony IMX766 sensor) and the other two cameras are identical to the two brothers.
There is a 5,000mAh battery in both devices, but the charging process is different. The "Plus" model supports 120W HyperCharge wired charging, the standard "Pro" model supports 67W wired turbo charging, and there is a side-mounted fingerprint reader on both phones.
Redmi Note 12 Pro + 5G comes in a single storage + RAM combo with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G has a variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The 8GB RAM model comes in 128GB and 256GB storage options. All variants include LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 flash memory.
Redmi Note 12 Pro + 5G measures 162.9 x 76 x 8.98 mm and weighs 210.5 grams, and Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G measures 162.9 x 76 x 7.9 mm and weighs 187 grams.

Both phones feature a 6.67-inch FullHD+ AMOLED DotDisplay with a 120Hz refresh rate, and both phones feature a 13MP front camera.
Both phones pack a 5,000mAh battery and both devices support 33W wired fast charging. You'll also find an audio jack on both phones, and the same goes for the infrared blaster. The side fingerprint reader is located on the right side of both devices.
The similarities somewhat end there. The Redmi Note 12 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor, while its non-5G sibling comes with the Snapdragon 685 SoC.
The 5G model has a 48MP main camera, along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. The non-5G model has a 50MP main camera, while the other two modules are identical to the 5G model.
Redmi Note 12 5G supports Bluetooth 5.1 while its brother supports Bluetooth 5.0. Redmi Note 12 5G is available in variants with 4GB, 6GB and 8GB of RAM. The first two models have 128GB of storage while the latter has 256GB of storage. Storage can be expanded up to 1 TB.
Redmi Note 12 is also available in 4GB, 6GB and 8GB RAM variants. All of these models come with 128GB of storage, while the 4GB RAM model also comes with 64GB of storage. Here, too, the memory can be expanded up to 1 terabyte. Please note that Redmi Note 12 5G and Redmi Note 12 5G have LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 flash storage.
The 5G variant is available in Onyx Gray, Forest Green, and Ice Blue colours. The non-5G model is available in Onyx Gray, Mint Green, and Ice Blue.

Redmi Note 12 Pro + 5G starts at €499, while Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G starts at €399. Redmi Note 12 5G starts at €299, while Redmi Note 12 is the cheapest at €199. It should soon be available across Europe.
