New Samsung Leak Reveals Important Galaxy S24 Ultra Photo Quality Upgrade

According to a new report, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra owners will be able to enjoy higher image quality on social media platforms.

According to noted leaker Ahmed Qwaider, Samsung has signed a "new partnership" with Meta to enable its 2024 flagship smartphones to upload and display HDR photos on Facebook and Instagram. This partnership will finally allow Android users to download and view HDR content, a feature currently only available on iPhone.

Previous leaks have revealed that next year's Galaxy S24 Ultra phones will support the new Ultra HDR photography standard for Android 14, but the social media platform does not currently support the new format. This leads to the loss of HDR information stored in the image and reduces its quality when viewed on HDR-capable screens, including on modern high-end smartphones.

HDR displays differ from what is known as "HDR photography" because they allow you to see images with all the brightness and color of your smartphone. In contrast, standard jpeg files are limited to a very narrow range of brightness levels. HDR displays can provide greater realism, especially in brightly lit images.
