Oppo To Skip Reno 9 In India, Could Directly Launch Oppo Reno 10 Series In This Month
Oppo launched the Reno 9 series in November 2022 in China. The series includes Oppo Reno 9, Reno 9 Pro, and Reno 9 Pro+. According to recent reports, Oppo may skip the Reno 9 series in India and launch Oppo Reno 10 series instead . According to whistleblower Sudhanshu (via 91mobiles), Oppo will skip the Reno 9 series in India altogether. Instead, the company will launch the Oppo Reno 10 range of phones in the country .
The series should officially launch in the first week or two of February. There are expected to be at least two models in the lineup: Reno 10 and Reno 10 Pro. Also Read: Oppo confirms 4 years of software updates and 5 years of security updates for select flagship phones.
It is unknown if the Reno 10 phones will be rebranded as the Reno 9 series or if we are considering new devices. It should be noted that in China, the informant Digital Chat Station has previously opened the block diagram of the phone.
According to the schematics, the Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ will feature a flat screen and a redesigned camera bay. The device will be equipped with three cameras on the rear and one of them may be a telephoto lens. Like the Reno 8 Pro, the Reno 10 Pro+ will feature a Marisilicon NPU.
The Reno 10 Pro+ carries the model number PHU110 and is expected to arrive with several updates. It will most likely feature a panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a screen resolution of FHD+ or higher. While it hasn't been revealed, we expect it to have a MediaTek Dimensity or Snapdragon chipset.
It may come with a bigger battery and fast charging support. The Reno 10 Pro+ and other devices in the lineup will run Android 13 out of the box and have ColorOS 13 on top.
Separately, Oppo recently announced the ColorOS 13 release schedule in Q1 2023. Oppo is among the best brands to push Android 13 updates to their phones early.
