Oppo Enco X2 Review: Best Wireless Earphones Under Rs 10,000

Oppo Enco X2 Review: Best Wireless Earphones Under Rs 10,000

Oppo launched the successor to the Enco X wireless headphones in India, which was already one of the best options under Rs 10,000. With the new Oppo Enco X2, the company has greatly improved the quality of active noise cancellation (ANC) and battery life. for better performance. But at the same time, the price has increased by 1000 rupees compared to its predecessor. The good thing is that during Flipkart and Amazon sales, it is sold cheaper.

Enco's latest headphones retained wireless charging support, IP rating and LHDC audio codec, which is a good thing. Oppo has also added support for the Bluetooth LDAC codec for superior sound quality. Are the Oppo Enco X2 True Wireless Headphones worth the money? let's find out

Design, assembly, customization

In terms of design, Oppo has made almost no changes and I don't think it was necessary. You will still get a round oval box. It has a very compact form factor and is lightweight, making it easy to take with you wherever you go. You can easily put it in your jeans pocket, which is not possible with some wireless headphones on the market due to the larger and heavier shape.

The case is stylish, but less durable. No build quality. I accidentally left my bag on the way and it came out. The case is also prone to scratches. Therefore, you should be careful when using it. The case has a flip design, similar to many wireless headphones. There is a metal hinge on the back of the case that looks very sturdy.

Oppo has integrated a well-hidden pairing button on the right side of the case. There is only one LED on the box to show the battery status, which is very convenient. On the top of the case there is a small Oppo logo, which is not very noticeable and is placed invisibly. He is charming. The company has also managed to engrave its Oppo logo on the headphones, which is not visible to the naked eye. The case has a USB Type-C port, so you can use your phone's fast charger to quickly charge the case's battery, which is now slightly larger than the previous version.

What I liked most about the Oppo Enco X2 is the fit. They fit perfectly in your ears and thanks to their lightweight design, you won't feel like you're wearing them. I have been using the headphones for a month, I have never had any problems with the fit. The headphones never fell out of my ears. I've tried many wireless headphones in the past, but this is the best and probably works well for most users. You can wear it comfortably all day.

Oppo offers a wide range of in-ear tips to help you find the right headphones for your ears. The standard tip size worked for me and I didn't have to switch tips. The headphones are also IPX5 certified, which means they are dust and water resistant. So you don't have to worry about your headphones getting damaged in the rain. But I still advise you to be careful. The earcups and earcups are plastic but never felt cheap.

Application management, connection, support

With the Oppo Enco X2, I can say that the connection is perfect. I never had to reconnect my wireless headphones to my phone. When I removed the headphones, they connected even if the connected device wasn't close enough, which is a good thing. I had no loss of connection during the period of use. The setup process is very simple and the first pairing of the headphones with your phone takes no more than 15 seconds.

Oppo has a dedicated HeyMelody app that lets you customize your headphones to suit your preferences. But those who have an Oppo or OnePlus phone do not need to download this app as users can access the features of the app in Bluetooth settings. It's nice, but at some point it gets a little awkward. Since there is no app, you can't leave it open in the background. Whenever you need to make changes, you need to go to Bluetooth settings > find the name of the headset, click on it, and then click on the headset feature again.

I liked that there were no touch controls on the buttons. Because when you sleep on your side, the headphones automatically turn on all the functions you have set. With the Oppo Enco X2, you only need to press the panel once, twice or three times for different functions. The app provides controls to play/pause music, adjust volume and ANC, and call the voice assistant on your smartphone.

The app support is fantastic as Oppo has provided many features to help you without any problem. You can click on headphone photos by double-clicking on any of the headphones. There is also a dual connection feature that allows you to connect the headphones to two devices at the same time, which is a must-have feature that some headphones in the market do not have. Other features include Find My Headphones, Headphone Test and Golden Sound. The latter is essentially a test that helps ensure the best sound based on your ear capabilities and hearing characteristics.

The default for Bluetooth is SBC, but you can change it to LHDC or LDAC if your phone supports those codecs. If you can't find LDAC, you'll see it in the High Sound Quality section of the app, where you can switch to another Bluetooth codec. In addition, there are two ANC modes, including noise reduction and transparency. There is no way to manually adjust the noise reduction level, but Oppo has provided different modes like Max, Soft, Moderate, etc. In addition, the company has not provided a proper equalizer to manually change the track, and you get several modes. However, they do not matter much.

sound quality, anc

The Oppo Enco X2 is one of the best wireless headphones currently available on Flipkart for under Rs 10,000. It comes with two coaxial drivers: 11mm dynamic drivers and 6mm flat drivers. The headphones support various Bluetooth codecs including SBC, AAC and high-quality LHDC. Oppo has also added support for Sony's high-definition LDAC codec with the update. If your smartphone and music streaming app support the Bluetooth LDAC codec, the sound quality will be better. That doesn't mean you can't get good sound quality with the AAC codec.

The Enco X2 delivers balanced sound and consistent performance on bass-heavy tracks. The bass was well defined and did not dominate the other frequencies. The highs provided more subtle detail on some songs, and I got a fuller sound with detailed mids. I can say that the headphones have a fairly wide sound stage. You will probably enjoy listening to some electronic, pop and Bollywood songs. There are no custom equalizer presets for a more personalized experience. While many people might not use it either, that might be why Oppo doesn't offer it.

Active noise cancellation is also supported by the Oppo Enco X2, but it is not very effective compared to the Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro: the new headphones canceled most of the background noise, but could not eliminate loud sounds. I set the ANC mode to Max to remove most unwanted ambient noise.

But the impressive part is the noise cancellation for calls. It often happened that the background noise was so loud that I could not hear my own voice during a call, but the interlocutor heard very clearly and with almost no background noise. This is amazing.

Wireless headphones with case lasted 3-4 days. I used headphones for phone calls and listening to music with ANC. Use was at least 3-4 hours a day. Therefore, the battery life is also impressive. Qi-compatible chargers can be used to charge the headphones wirelessly. However, charging the battery takes longer than usual. I would recommend people to charge the case with fast phone charger.

Oppo Enco X2 review: is it worth buying?

Anyway.

Oppo Enco X2 is a complete package and the features justify the high price it is sold for. The wireless headphones are capable of providing good sound quality, long battery life and good ANC. Call noise cancellation is really good. They are well built and fit perfectly, making them one of the best options for around Rs 10,000.
