Tecno Camon 19 Mondrian Comes With A Multicolour Changing Rear Panel And A 50MP Portrait Sensor
Smartphone maker Tecno has announced the launch of a stylish mid-range phone with polychromatic photoisomer technology. Simply put, this is a feature that allows the back to change its monochrome color to show more colors when it reflects light.
This is a limited edition smartphone, the company's first in India. However, the Camon 19 Mondrian shares the same internal specs as the regular variant.
The phone is available in a memory and storage option of 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage and is priced at Rs. The phone will go on sale on Amazon on September 22, ahead of Amazon's Great Indian Festival Sale.
The Tecno Camon 19 Mondrian has a 6.9-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the phone's hood is an octa-core MediaTek Helio G96 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The smartphone gets up to 5GB of virtual RAM via a software update.
In terms of optics, the Tecno Camon 19 Mondrian has a triple rear camera setup that includes a 64MP main camera with RGBW sensor and OIS support. This is paired with a 50MP portrait lens, a 2MP sensor and a quad-LED flash. The smartphone has a 32-megapixel selfie camera under the hole on the front.
The phone is powered by a 5000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. It comes standard with Android 12-based XOS operating system and has a fingerprint sensor placed under the power button.
The Tecno Camon 19 Mondrian is characterized by its white back, which turns blue and pink when exposed to the sun.
This isn't the first phone to feature color-changing technology. We have seen this technology in several phones from Vivo and Realme. However, unlike this phone, the Tecno phone has more colors. At the same time, this feature loses its uniqueness after a few days of use or after the user has removed the protective cover.
As a result, the phone has strong competition not only from other brands' devices, but also from Tecno, Camon 19 Pro and Camon 19 Neo devices.
