Redmi K70 Pro Looks Stunning In New Renders, Top Specs Confirmed Ahead Of November 29 Launch
Redmi, a subsidiary of Xiaomi, is all set to host a mega event to celebrate its 10th anniversary on November 29 in China. And, as always, that will mean lots of new material, some of which may be revealed elsewhere. The Redmi K70 series has been confirmed as a showcase at the event. The range will include three models: Redmi K70 and K70 Pro and Redmi K70E. Redmi has now shared the initial renders of its flagship Redmi K70 Pro, revealing some key hardware specifications.
The Redmi K70 Pro's design seems like a throwback to the recently launched Xiaomi 14, with its sleek body and prominently square-shaped camera, though in Redmi's case it extends from edge to edge. We can see the same phone becoming a Poco phone at some point, so fingers crossed. Redmi uses premium glass and metal. The phone itself comes in black and white with a subtle depth effect, though rumors suggest there could be more options at launch.
Interestingly, despite the high-quality build and excellent internal hardware, the Redmi K70 Pro still manages to maintain a slim profile. The phone is said to be just 74.9mm thick, which is impressive for a phone in its class. But the rear camera panel is a bit thick. Speaking of which, there are three cameras, running a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an optically stabilized lens.
Up front, you'll find a 6.67-inch display, likely an OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and shared images suggest it will have ultra-thin bezels all around with a central notch.
The Redmi K70 Pro is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which will be paired with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. Xiaomi's new HyperOS may deliver in terms of software, but we'll see.
The standard Redmi K70 is expected to have the same specifications and design, with differences in camera and possibly charging speed.
The Redmi K70E was previously confirmed to feature a 1.5K flat screen with 12-bit color depth, 1920Hz PWM high frequency dimming support and 1800 nits peak brightness. It is confirmed to have a massive 5000mm² stainless steel VC, the largest among Redmi phones. You also get a 5,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging and a MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra processor under the hood.
