The convocation was held on 10th August 2023 at Biswa Bangla Convention Center where Shri. NR Narayan Murthy was the chief guest on the occasion and gave the convocation speech.
That day Sri. Sourav Ganguly was awarded a Doctorate of Letters for his outstanding contribution to Indian sports. Shri Ratan N. Tata received his doctorate in absentia for his exemplary career as an Indian industrialist and philanthropist. In the field of Indian music, Kavita Krishnamurthy Subramaniam was awarded the title of Doctor of Literature for her outstanding achievements. Ms. Sushmita Sen was awarded a Doctor of Letters for her contributions to Indian culture and her inspiring work in promoting education for women and children. Shirsendu Mukherjee was awarded Doctor of Letters for his everlasting contribution to Sri Bengali literature, while Dr. Apoorva Ghosh for his immense contribution to children's healthcare especially during the Covid crisis awarded Doctor of Letters. Dr Tessie Thomas also received a Doctor of Letters from Techno India University for his role in advancing the Indian aerospace systems experience through his pioneering work at DRDO.
Also present on this occasion was the Vice Chancellor of Techno India University Smt. present. Manoshi Roy Chowdhury Vice Chancellor Dr. Gautam Sengupta, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sameran Chatterjee (ex-JABI), Chancellor Prof. Mohit Chatterjee, Prof. Somprakash Bandopadhyay (Director, School of Management), Prof. Bidyut Varan (SI Prof Chowdhury), Dean of Research Prof. Amar Nath Mallick (ex-NIT, DGP) and all the college directors of Techno India Group. L. was one of the important personalities present on stage. Subramaniam (eminent violinist and composer), Prof. Uday Banerjee (Director, Bose Institute), Prof. Sanghamitra Banerjee (Director, ISI, Calcutta), Prof. Arvind Chaubey (Director, NIT, Durgapur), Shri. Devashi Sen (President, HIDCO) and Shri. Devidas Dutta (Former Director, WBSEDCL). Presence of Maj-Gen H. Dharmarajan, HQ of GOC Sub-area Bengal, Kolkata, Shri. Abhijit Dasgupta, Commander, Coast Guard, RHQ, and Commodore P. Shashi Kumar, Naval Officer in Charge for West Bengal helped instill discipline and respect for their country in the students on stage.

We are fortunate to have Sri Narayan Murthy with us in August and to share his valuable insights with students.
