A popular American gamer known to his 11 million YouTube subscribers as "Technoblade" has died of cancer at the age of 23, his family announced Thursday night.
In a video titled "So Long Nerds," his father sits in a chair and plays with the family dog as he tells fans about his son's death.
He continued to read a message his son had prepared before he died.
"Hello everyone, this is Technoblade. If you look at this, I'm dead. So let's sit down and talk one last time," his father said.

About eight hours before his death, Alex mustered the energy to write a farewell message on a laptop on his deathbed, his tearful father recalled.
