Vivo X Fold 2 Specs All But Confirmed As Launch Draws Near
Vivo is expected to announce the X Fold 2 soon, and more information is starting to leak as we get closer to that unconfirmed date. This time, the leak seems to come in the form of a slide that is usually used to educate retail staff on the features and benefits of cell phones.
With this in mind, Vivo seems to be using a lot of big numbers and impressive words to describe this. As if having a bendy phone in the middle isn't exciting enough, Vivo goes ahead and has the best specs.
These specifications are taken from a leaked slide on the Chinese social network Weibo. GSM Arena and SeekAdvice then identified the leak.
Looking at what Leal pointed out, we can expect the Vivo X Fold 2 to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip combined with ultra-fast LPDDR5X RAM along with UFS 4.0 storage. These things should ensure that buyers aren't stuck waiting for apps to load, even if there's no real word on RAM or storage capacity.
In addition, we know that the screen on the cover will be 6.53 inches in size with a resolution of 1080p and a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 1600 nits.
Moving inwards, the foldable screen measures 8.03 inches tall and once again supports a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of resolution, buyers can expect 2160x1916, with maximum brightness increasing to 1800 nits.
Among other details, it mentions support for Wi-Fi 7, while the battery capacity will be 4800 mAh. The battery will charge 120W when using a cable, while 50W wireless charging will be available for those who are allergic to electrical connections.
As for when the Vivo X Fold 2 will be announced, we're expecting an April 2023 release, which means we won't have to wait that long, thankfully.
