2 minute read
The House of Knowledge (TKH) hosts the first batch of workers after the pandemic. From mid-April through May 2023, the organization will host four (4) recruiting events to reach Black and Latino youth ages 16-36 with an interest in technology. Supported by UBER's generous partnership, successful programs in all cities will be held in New York, New York, Atlanta and Los Angeles.
"Each city we serve has a unique culture and connection to the tech industry, and black and brown youth across the country are underserved and ready to learn. We were virtual after the pandemic, but now tech professionals are back in the mix, and so are we. Knowledge House in New York I'm excited to see the growing presence and our second year of expansion sites working in person and with community pillars. This time, I'm looking forward to raising awareness of the scholarship and getting support from local residents for new classes in our new cities.

The 2023-2024 recruitment cycle will include 250 new interns in our flagship programs, the Karim Harbush Coding Program for Teens and the Creative Fellowship for Adult Job Seekers. As America's tech sector continues to grow, people of color hold less than 10 percent of tech jobs, a distribution that doesn't reflect our nation. As Casa del Saber continues to strengthen its presence across the country, the need for advanced training in digital technologies will become clearer and more critical.
