Infinix Hot 30 To Be Available In Malaysia Next Week For RM540
UPDATE 2 (09:57am on April 7, 2023): According to Infinix, the RM549 price is also a placeholder, and the actual price will be announced on April 10.
UPDATE (9:07 pm, April 6, 2023): Infinix says the exact release date for the Hot 30 is April 14.
ORIGINAL STORY (8:00 pm, April 6, 2023):
Infinix Malaysia has announced on its official Facebook page that it will launch the Infinix Hot 30 in the local market in the middle of the month. Although the range consists of three models (the other two being the Hot 30i and Hot 30i NFC), the company has so far only explicitly mentioned the base model.
The base model Infinix Hot 30 has a 6.78-inch Full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 270Hz touch sampling rate, and a maximum of 600 nits. Inside is a MediaTek Helio G88 chip, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. Part of it can also be used as expansion space, giving the phone 16 GB of RAM. They are all powered by a 5000 mAh battery with 33W charging power. Fortunately, this is possible via USB-C.

For its cameras, the Infinix Hot 30 has a 50-megapixel primary camera on the rear with an 8-megapixel secondary camera housed in a waterdrop notch. As a basic phone, the 3.5mm audio jack is still present on this device. Software-wise, Android 13 is out of the box.
Update: Infinix claims the RM549 price is a placeholder despite what it has posted on its official Lazada and Shopee stores. And for the first one in particular, a representative called it a "dummy test page." While the phone will be available on April 14, the company will only announce its pricing on April 10. That said, the placeholder price seems like a price the Infinix Hot 30 would have legitimately commanded given what it was in for.

In addition, there is also a Free Fire edition of the Infinix Hot 30 complete with gaming accessories. While it's likely to be similar hardware-wise, it's also likely to come at a premium over the base price.
