Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G: Launch Date, Specifications, Price And More. Read All Details Here
Ahead of its launch, Redmi released a teaser for the upcoming film series. The company has named the Redmi Note 12 5G series as "Supernote". Redmi India announced on Twitter that the Redmi 12 Pro+ will have the highest resolution smartphone camera ever. “The Super Note's 200-megapixel camera is just the camera you need,” the company tweeted. The brand has shared a link to its official website where interested buyers can find out.
As for the phone, the Note 12 Pro has a 50-megapixel main camera, while the Pro and Pro+ variants get an additional 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor on the back. A Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC is said to power the base Note 12, while the Dimension 1080 SoC powers the Pro and Pro+ models.
While three new Redmi Note phones are expected in India in January, Xiaomi says they won't be releasing any more Note series phones this time around. The Redmi Note 10 and Note 11 series have at least six models each. For example, the Redmi Note 11 series in India now includes Note 11, Note 11 Pro, Note 11 Pro+, Note 11T, Note 11 SE and Note 11S. During the January 5 launch event, Xiaomi will announce pricing for the Redmi Note 12 series in India. However, the starting price is estimated to be around 23,000 rupees based on Chinese tariffs.
While the company hasn't provided any further details on the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus for India, we expect it to feature similar specs to the Chinese model.
