Oppo Find N2 Flip Official Render Leaked, Suggests Familiar Design Philosophy

Oppo Find N is the company's first production foldable smartphone, which will be released in 2021.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip is a really interesting entry point into the foldable phone market, which includes new models from brands like Motorola and Samsung. After recent leaks that hinted at the smartphone's form factor, there's now a new image showing the design language of the upcoming foldable phone that looks a little familiar. Previously leaked videos teased the device's form factor, but it's encased in a thick case.

An insider posted on Weibo what appears to be an official render of the device. Another whistleblower, Abhishek Yadav, also shared the picture on Twitter. It basically shows the rear panel of the upcoming smartphone. While the video above hints at the device's form factor, it's encased in a thick casing that makes it very difficult to distinguish it by its exterior design.

Recently released renders show a metal frame with smooth sides and bevelled edges, similar to the recently launched Oppo smartphone Reno 8 Pro. The camera module sits flat next to the external display, which looks quite large compared to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4.

The dual camera design and circular LED flash ring are also similar to the Reno 8 Pro. The volume buttons appear on the left and the power button on the right, similar to most Oppo smartphones today. The top of the back panel appears to be brushed while the bottom is matte.

What you don't see is the hinge design, which is an interesting part of any foldable smartphone, as the hinge design will also tell us about the foldable display inside. Oppo product manager Pete Lau claimed in a recent Weibo post that the Oppo Find N2 (large and foldable) will not have any creases on the internal display. It will be interesting to see if Oppo can do the same with its smaller foldable phone.

According to a recent report, the Oppo Find N2 Flip is expected to sport a 6.8-inch E6 HD+ foldable AMOLED in-display display with a 120Hz refresh rate. . The Oppo Find N2 Flip is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC and is paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The device may have an 8MP wide-angle camera, along with a 50MP main camera and a 32MP selfie camera. A 4,300mAh battery with 44W fast charging is also expected. The above details have not been officially announced by Oppo, so we advise our readers to take it with a grain of salt.
