Technoblades Legacy Lives On As Fans Help Raise Over $500,000 For Cancer Research
The sad and heartbreaking news of Technoblade's death broke on June 30, 2022, when his family shared a YouTube video revealing that the Minecraft star had lost his battle with cancer. Since then, the Internet has continued to mourn the devastating loss of the talented creator, but focused on honoring his legacy.
Many of Technoblade's close friends have made great strides in his honor to raise money for cancer research, such as Tommy Nitt and Wilbur Suit donating all proceeds from their books to cancer research, and Dream Reflections raising money for cancer research with Father Technoblade to raise it. The community has always been generous in supporting such efforts as they also mourned the loss of the Minecraft legend.

Funds raised by cancer research creators and fans go directly to the Sarcoma Foundation of America, "a not-for-profit organization of significant importance to Technoblade."
Now, thanks to fans and supporters, the Sarcoma Foundation has announced, “For their incredible support and generosity, $500,000 has been raised (and counting) in honor of the Sarcoma Foundation of America.”
"Technoblade's legacy lives on through the fans and creators I've enjoyed and inspired over the years," said the Sarcoma Foundation of America. "Through his massive platform, he has mobilized his followers and made a huge impact on the world of sarcoma research."
The Minecraft legend was honored by the Sarcoma Foundation of America on September 28, 2022, at its 20th Stand Up to Sarcoma Gala, when he was awarded the Courage Award for his outstanding achievements.
The award is given to “those who are committed to sarcoma disease through their efforts and actions” and “those who use their platforms on behalf of patients, survivors, caregivers and advocates to inspire others and bring hope and a better life to the sarcoma community.”
Those who wish to continue to support and honor the legacy of TechnoBlade can do so by donating directly to the Sarcoma Foundation of America or purchasing their merchandise on the TechnoBlade Tribute page. A portion of all TechnoBlade merchandise store sales will go to the Sarcoma Foundation of America, and the rest will support the Minecraft star family. In a possible move from Technoblade, the Minecraft star also has special memorial merchandise in his shop for fans to buy.
