Realme UI Update With Jio 5G Support Available Now: Report
Smartphone brand Realme is rolling out a software update that brings Jio 5G support to Realme devices. According to TechyPreacher, Realme 5G smartphones are getting the Realme UI update to support Jio 5G as well as the September Android security patch. Several Realme users also took to Twitter to report the same. The update also includes other system and stability improvements.
Realme 5G smartphones will be 5G ready with the latest update. Realme VP Madhav Sheth said in a statement, "We have partnered with major Indian telecom companies and are sponsoring various bundles for our users. 85% of our devices already support SA and 100% of our devices will have full SA support by October All our users are 5G We also roll out OTA updates on our devices to make sure they get the most out of it.
5G was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 1 at the inauguration of the India Mobile Conference (IMC) 2022. 5G services can deliver high-speed, low-latency internet that will change the data landscape. 5G services will provide smooth coverage, high data speed, low latency and a highly reliable communication system.
Reliance Jio has announced that it will roll out the service gradually. This means that 5G services will be provided in 4 cities in the first phase - Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai. These cities will get 5G services from October 22 to 26 ahead of Diwali. The national capital and three other major cities that plan to get Jio5G services before Diwali will also be bypassed as only certain parts of the city will get the services. Other cities will receive Jio 5G by December 2023.
