Legendary Paisley DJ Dies From Rare Cancer After Lifelong Battle With Disease
Tributes have been paid to "irreplaceable legend" DJ Paisley, who died of a rare cancer.
Until his death earlier this month, Stephen McIntyre, affectionately known as Minnie, was best known for performing on stage at the famous 69 nightclub.
Last year, the 43-year-old told Renfrewshire Live he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma aged 19 after discovering a lump on his neck.

After successful treatment, he has been cancer-free for 20 years, when doctors diagnosed him in 2019 with a rare type of salivary gland cancer, the likes of which the world had never seen before.
After extensive surgery to successfully remove the tumor last year, he returned and was told he couldn't fight.
Stephen received chemotherapy at the Beatson Center in Glasgow and underwent self-sustaining hyperthermia treatment in Düsseldorf, Germany before his death. He was buried on Wednesday.
Following the tragic news, tributes flooded the internet as friends took to Facebook to remember their "dear friend".
A Club 69 online post says: “We often get detractors, but in this case, they're right: Mini was an important legend.
"It seems so unfair that she had to battle this terrible disease three times in her short life and we are so sad that she is no longer with us. Minnie was our friend at first but she was a club promoter in '69. a technical wizard. , a wonderful DJ and a little the true leader of our club.
“As if that wasn't enough, Minnie was our caretaker on duty, a carpenter, plumber and electrician, she really agreed! Of Minnie's many accomplishments in life, helping and connecting with people was the most important to her.
“Throughout her years at the 69 Club, Minnie has mentored many people in both her professional and personal lives, sharing her wisdom and experience in friendly and incredible ways. He was instrumental in the creation of the Mini Rav Cave! A week ago, he played an important role in what we call the defense and organization of the club.
“He was always a generous, mini team player - his easy smile and deep knowledge of the rave den was always on hand whether someone needed a tied arm or a free leg.
"Minnie was loved and respected by all members of the team: she was always a fast person and was very good at everything, both at the club and in everyday life. We are always inspired by her fight with cancer and how she embraced her battle.
"Even in her last days Minnie was fighting this terrible disease - keep going! Mini - I hope you are safe my friend! We love you and miss you so much."
Last December, Renfrewshire Live spoke to Stephen and his friend and 69 club member Rosen O'Leary about his cancer diagnosis and the club's fundraising night.
Stephen was raising money to travel to the US to see a specialist doctor for innovative treatment and wanted to raise money for the Roizen Magis Cancer Center who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in his lower right jaw.
Hundreds of people shared their memories, remembrances and congratulations of Stephen online. Jamie Carmichael said: “It's great to say about Minnie, she was such a fighter everywhere and always positive.
"He has a good sense of humor and is good at everything he likes. He has lent his time to anyone who needs it, taught me how to maintain my bike a year ago, skills I still need and will always need, and a hobby that helps me through hard times. Many friends will miss you.
Red Deco said, “A kind with a soft heart. Thank you for always showing me around the club with your smile and conversation. It's hard for me to hear of your passing today and I love you and everyone you love.
"When this life is over, I hope there will be mountain bikes and lots of techno everywhere we go. See you in the next life, my great friend.
