Last week, Tecno launched the latest addition to its Pop series in India, the Tecno Pop 8. It is positioned as an entry-level phone powered by the T606 UniSoC chipset and features a 90Hz LCD display with dynamic port notification. The smartphone has a 12MP primary rear camera with AI lens, which is complemented by an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. With a large 5000 mAh battery and 10W charging support, the Tecno Pop 8 offers a long life.

Initial offer and availability
Tecno Pop 8 price in India is Rs 6499. As a special offer for work, Tecno is offering a flat rate discount of Rs 500, bringing the current price down to Rs 5,999. The phone will go on sale today, January 9, starting at 12pm, exclusively on Amazon.
Specifications and features
The Tecno Pop 8 has a 6.6-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and HD+ (720x1612 pixels) resolution. Powered by a UniSoC T606 chipset paired with a Mali G57 GPU, 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM, 4GB of expandable RAM and 64GB of UFS 2.2 storage expandable via a dedicated microSD card.
Running HiOS 13.0 based on Android 13 (Go Edition), the device sports a 12MP primary camera with f/1.85 aperture and AI lens and an 8MP front camera with dual LED flash.
The phone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery with 10W charging capability via the USB Type-C port. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers with DTS audio and connectivity options like dual SIM, 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS.
The Techno Pop 8 is available in Mystery White, Alpenglo Gold and Gravity Black.
