Vivo + iQOO 2022: successes and failures

We think the Vivo X80 Pro is a great success with significant improvements over the previous generation. We would like to thank Vivo for developing such an impressive night mode camera, which makes it one of the best low-light photography devices out there. They also took care of video placement and film recording.

We also felt that Vivo changed its strategy from the mid-range segment to the high-end segment, while iQOO also performed better in these two segments this year. Then we also felt that iQOO stands out more between the two brands and becomes more popular, while Vivo targets the elite audience.

Despite good results in some key areas, we feel that there is no difference between Vivo and iQOO. Some models of both brands were almost identical with slight differences.

Also, we feel that Vivo is not paying enough attention to Vivo branded devices. In addition, brand communications should be more nuanced, with a clear understanding of which smartphone was made for which audience.

More than 50% of the devices from Vivo and iQOO together were launched in the Rs 15,000-25,000 segment, but despite this, we felt that the focus on this segment is waning. To recommend more, Vivo has yet to build iQOO's image.

In conclusion, the Vivo 2022 launch was pretty quiet. It was quiet between them for about 3-4 months and woke up after five or six unexpected starts at the end of the year. This confuses the consumer because with so many releases it becomes difficult for the buyer to choose which device they want.

Vivo + iQOO 2022: 3 best smartphones

Among all the devices released, we think these are the 3 best this year from the Chinese duo:

the number 3: iQOO Neo 6

The IQOO Neo 6 was basically the perfect smartphone for the average consumer because it was light on the pocket but heavy on features. It has an impressive design, decent cameras with very good performance.

Number 2: iQOO 9T

The iQOO 9T was another good offering from iQOO thanks to its value for money. The price of the smartphone remains competitive thanks to its unique design, excellent performance and super-fast charging without serious heating problems.

#1: Vivo X80 Pro

The Vivo X80 Pro tops our list thanks to the constant updates and focus on the cameras, as well as a lot of general improvements that become difficult for a flagship after a while.

This was our 2022 newsletter for Vivo and iQOO, and we believe it was an even more impressive year for iQOO than Vivo. With the imminent launch of the iQOO 11 in India, it will be interesting to see how Vivo will balance the launch of its sub-brand and whether it will try to outdo it.
