T78 Takes Us Through His Favourite New Music
This year the T78 has racked up miles. Italian techno wizards Egg have delighted audiences around the world, from London to the Jardin Electronica in Lille, France; Three shows at ADE, check. With an incredible amount of concerts all over the planet, you have to believe that T78 brings on its USB key the best bangers that the world of techno has to offer.
Of course, he's made his own contribution to the genre this year with an impressive nine releases on his Octetone Records label; “Monster Truck” with Maxi Devine in March and more recently the groove “Another Dimension” released on December 4. He is constantly adding new hits to his label roster. He brought other producers to Octectone this year, including Noba, Greg Denboza, Ed Messina, Jim Nozier and many others. To celebrate the occasion, T78 created and produced the 13th edition of “T78 Presents Tektones 13”, which will be released on December 29.
“Tectones is a compilation that has been released every six months since the creation of the label,” explains T78. “I always try to bring together new music from new talents and use it as a showcase for myself, sometimes with multiple tracks. This time I present to you two pieces, one in the hard techno style like Activator, and the other in the hard trance style, like the collaboration with T78 Housework and Ducamp. The day the remix of "Push to Start" was released, I was very inspired by the vocal hook and decided to build a simple T78 beat around it without borrowing any elements from the original track. "
