FKA Twigs says the technology-inspired album will be released later this year. Yesterday, on his 36th birthday, he took to Discord to share news of what he's been working on, as spotted by DJ Mag.
"I moved to Prague a few years ago, I fell in love with techno, the album is not techno, the soul is there," he said, adding that his main collaborator on the record was Coreless. Last year she was seen in a collaboration with Koreless at the Paris Fashion Week show. "It's deep, but not sad," he says of the album. "I'm not sad anymore." And to a fan's question, he said he doesn't listen to much music at work, but he likes Two Shell.
In 2022, FKA Twigs released a full-length mixtape, CAPRISONGS , which featured several guest appearances, and she indicated that her next album would be mostly solo. Her last full-length album was 2019's MAGDALENE .
Great news from Twigs! Last fall, he said he was going back to the "drawing board" after more than 80 of his demos were leaked online.
