I stare into the endless blue of the Laccadivi Sea. If I could dive like a superhuman, the next beach would be Somalia. But for now, I'm stuck in Columbo with only enough lung capacity to stay underwater for a few embarrassing seconds. There is another blue color that I like better than the ocean in front of me. This is the new Realme 12 Pro+ in the beautiful Aqua Blue colour.

Inspired by the design of a luxury watch, a collaboration with French luxury watchmaker Olivier Savoy, the gold-toned camera frame shines in the Sri Lankan sun, where I plan to test the device.

The Realme 12 Pro+ features a blue and gold vegan leather finish. This design language has been one of the most unique designs in the smartphone market since its introduction last year. The phone has a 6.7-inch OLED screen, and weighs less than 200 grams, making it light but durable. The back panel has anti-slip quality so the handle fits perfectly.

The screen has a resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels and is nice and bright even outdoors. When I start the phone it is full of viruses. But once I got rid of the extra baggage, I gave multimedia a try. I've watched the last two episodes of Behind Your Touch , a supernatural comedy-drama series on Netflix about a veterinarian and a brilliant detective. The glossy Final Series has good-looking low-light images on the screen, well-balanced sound, and clear tones.

Battery life has never been a cause for concern in any of the Realme flagship phones I've reviewed. And the Realme 12 Pro+ is no different. It has a 5000mAh battery, which keeps me company most of the day with 2-3 hours of turning the camera on and off, constantly connecting to the internet, and reading books for hours. Stream music
