Music Legend Rudolph Isley Dies At 84

Some artists are such an important part of our lives that we feel like family. From celebrations to anniversaries, their music is the soundtrack to every important event. That's how many of us feel about The Aisle Brothers . We lost a member of that family on Thursday when Rudolph Isley, one of the group's founders, died at the age of 84. According to Pitchfork, Rudolph's attorney confirmed the news and released a statement from the artist's daughter.

Rudolf Eisley, founding member of the world-famous Eisley Brothers, died peacefully in his sleep on the morning of October 11, 2023. He died at home with his devoted wife Elaine by his side. They were married 68 years. Rudolph was a very religious man who loved Jesus."

Islands reinvented pop, R&B and funk with classics like "Shout!", "Twist and Scream", "It's Your Job", "Fighting the Power" and "Who's That Lady." His method of mixing genres was revolutionary and inspired generations of musicians. They also helped form the foundation of hip-hop, as many of their songs were sampled for new music fans to discover . Simply put, Rudolph Eisley and his brothers had a diverse influence on black culture and music.

"There are no words to express my feelings and love for my brother. Our family will miss him. But I know he is in a better place," Ronald Isley said in a statement to CNN .

"Heaven has gained another angel. It is with heavy hearts that we announce his passing...As we move through this deep sorrow, we ask for your understanding and respect for our family's privacy during this difficult time," the Isley brothers said . in his statement.... "Don't forget to stay close to the people you love. We will miss our brother, but we know he is in a good place. Forever in our hearts."

Rudolph left the group in 1989 to become a minister. She and Ronald recently got into a legal dispute over the Isley Brothers brand, but that doesn't mean they don't still love each other. This loss is a clear reminder that we must cherish our loved ones every day because we never made promises to them.
