Huawei Launches GigaGreen Radio To Empower Green & Premium 5G Networks
Huawei introduced the next generation of GigaGreen radios at the All Bands to 5G Summit held during the Mobile Broadband Forum (MBBF) 2023. Huawei Global Carrier Marketing and Sales Solutions President Richard Liu attended the new GigaGreen keynote. radio: "4 years of 5G commercial success is a testament to the critical role of green solutions. To help service providers drive monetization success, we are introducing new GigaGreen solutions to improve the performance and energy efficiency of their networks while providing an optimal experience."
GSMA, Ookla and leaders in new services sectors such as cloud virtual reality gaming, 3D video and RedCap, shared their predictions for premium 5G networks at the summit, emphasizing that new services require not only fast downlinks, but also high uplinks. Smooth, immersive HD experience everywhere and low latency and wide coverage for 5G connectivity. Ookla highlights Game Score to measure the mobile gaming experience and highlights the importance of deploying local edge computing servers, launching 5G SA and planning for 5G-Advanced (5.5G) to enable lag-free mobile cloud gaming.
Leading global operators shared their success stories in building 5G networks and said that intergenerational 5G experience and sustainable coverage are critical to rapid 5G user acquisition and 5G business success. Given the increased network requirements for new services, the next phase of network construction will focus on 5G networks that provide optimal downlink experience, high uplink, low latency and unlimited coverage. Through the innovation of ultra-wideband technology and multiple antennas, the network capacity can be greatly improved to make the 5G network faster and better.
At the summit, Wang Shikang, vice president of Huawei's FDD wireless product line, launched the new GigaGreen FDD radio. Using ultra-wide gigaband technology and multiple antennas, as well as advanced materials, algorithms and architecture, the solution delivers a gigabit per second experience and supports simplified deployment and "0-bit, 0-watt" energy savings, enabling a series of products . , such as 4T4R, 8T8R and Massive MIMO, to work with leading modulation technologies in wideband PA and FDD packages. It helps operators achieve higher performance and simplified multi-domain deployments. Thus, task-based RF power management is possible, thus reducing power consumption by 30% compared to previous generations. With the powerful ability to dramatically increase performance and coverage, GigaGreen enables new network bandwidth without increasing electricity costs or rebuilding sites. This increases investment efficiency while boosting all bands to 5G/5.5G for a consistent and discrete 5G network.
