Techno Phone Theft Lands 20YearOld Farmer In Jail For Six Months With Hard Labour

A 20-year-old farmer has been jailed for six months after stealing mobile phones worth around £1,100.

Convict Tajir Njadi was sentenced to hard labor and imprisonment by the Nkwanta District Court.

Njadi was found guilty of the crime and received the corresponding punishment.

Prosecutors described the convicted man as a “common thief” who mocked the residents of Damanco.

The robbery occurred on August 30, 2023 around noon, when Njadi entered the victim's room near Damanko, Nkwanta North District, Oti County, to steal a phone.

He was later discovered by a witness who raised the alarm and led to his arrest.

Man sentenced to 20 years in prison for iPhone theft

In a previous article, YEN.com.gh reported that Emmanuel Afanu, 20, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for mobile phone theft.

The iPhone 7 plus he stole was worth £2,500 and was snatched from student Saki Michael as he walked home.

The prisoner was arrested after a young student screamed and several neighbors came to his aid.

Thief found using stolen AirPods

In August 2023, YEN.com.gh reported that a thief was arrested after breaking into a room in Nungua, Accra and stealing cash and personal items, including Apple AirPods.

Borti's decision Borti, 30, to steal the AirPods helped police trace the devices to the complainant's phone, leading to his arrest.

He was jailed on two charges: five and two years, but their sentences will run concurrently.

Ghana shows video of thief trying to break into neighbor's house

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh, in a separate article, reported that a Ghanaian posted a video showing a thief trying to break into his neighbor's house in the middle of the night.

The man who recorded the video recorded the thief for five minutes as he struggled to enter the house.

Some Ghanaians found the video amusing and advised the man to take action that would lead to the arrest of the thief.
