Strong IPhone 15 Sales Could See Apple Overtake Samsung

Samsung always sells the most smartphones in a year because there are so many models, but in 2023 Apple will have a chance to take the top spot for the first time.
The three to four new iPhone models that Apple releases each year tend to exceed the number of phones that Samsung releases, and this is the key to Samsung's market leadership. Recently, when the global smartphone market began to shrink, Samsung began to think that Apple had a better approach.
And Samsung is focusing more on higher-priced smartphones, because it seems that these phones can withstand the global crisis well. But now it seems that if it helps Samsung recover revenue after a bad quarter, it's an opportunity for Apple.
The gap between Samsung and Apple is so close that the two companies could swap positions in the entire sales table for 2023, according to a Trendforce study of smartphone manufacturing orders.
"Interestingly, Apple and Samsung have roughly the same annual production estimates," TrendForce said. "If the iPhone 15 lineup exceeds market expectations, Apple has a good chance of dethroning Samsung from its long-standing position as the global market leader."
However, this depends on whether the new iPhone performs better than expected. Separately, it was reported that Apple expects iPhone 15 sales to decline compared to last year's iPhone 14.
However, during the economic crisis, Apple has consistently outpaced its competitors. While Android manufacturers saw a significant drop in sales compared to last year, Apple outperformed overall and saw a smaller drop.
Despite the fact that the smartphone maker has reached a new low in total global sales, the fact that Apple is relatively strong means that it is steadily increasing its market share.
Apple announced the new iPhone 15 series on September 12, 2023. Prices for at least some models are rumored to be significantly higher than the iPhone 14.
