Where To Party, Brunch, And Unwind During Movement Weekend In Detroit

Detroit, the birthplace of techno, is gearing up for its iconic movement music festival from Saturday, May 27 through Monday, May 29. This year's celebrations, hosted by events company Paxahau, will take place a week before the Detroit Grand Prix. It will return downtown, so expect a lot of pedestrian and vehicle traffic this time, and many streets in Jefferson and surrounding streets will turn into race tracks.

While Detroit musicians like the Three 6 Mafia and Stacey Pullen (first night), Kevin Sanderson and Eddie Faulks (second night) and international sensations like Skrillex are destined to grace the stages of the movement's official programming, locals and the world know real magic. . It takes place from dusk to dawn at the numerous parties in the city.

Spotlight: This bar, record company, and gallery is an art hub on the East Side. The sprawling industrial area regularly hosts musical performances and social gatherings. Spotlight has dominated Techno Fest events since the site opened in 2021.
