Redmi Note 12 Pro Review A Premium Product

The camera, battery, size and screen are all good, and so is the price.

Xiaomi launched the new Redmi Note 12 series at an event in Kramerville, Johannesburg. The theme is live streaming. After having the Redmi Note 12 Pro for a few weeks, I'm pretty familiar with the subject.

In particular, the Redmi Note 12 Pro is equipped with a 6.67-inch OLED screen in Full HD+ format, which uses a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The maximum brightness of 1200 nits should be reached, which is at the top of the range. At this refresh rate, competitors charge three times more.

Measuring 162.9 x 76 x 7.9 mm and weighing 187 grams, the design and feel are excellent. The notes are large in nature, but fit perfectly like a glove. The weight makes this phone perfect for gamers, though I'm not.

I've waxed lyrical about the screen and its weight, but what really stands out is the fantastic camera system. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, 5G SoC powered by 6nm. The chip is paired with 4.6 or 8GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of storage. That's enough space to match a phone that costs three times as much as the Redmi Note 12 Pro.

This phone has made technology and ambition come true. I'll say it out loud, this is a premium product. How much can be packed into such a small device is a true reflection of the amazing technology Xiaomi uses.

The entire Redmi Note 12 series is surprisingly affordable. All are IP53 certified, so the Redmi Note 12 Pro can withstand splashes and some dust. I'm really looking forward to summer.

Finally - the best part - Note 12 has a 5000mAh battery, which is compatible with 33W charging. Like all popular phones it runs on Android 13 and MIUI 13. This battery power will keep the phone running for weeks. It allows maximum usage per charge as well as short charging speed.
