Recently, a report surfaced that Huawei may start sourcing 5G chips from Qualcomm. This rumor was not true as the CEO of Huawei denied it.

After all, the CEO confirmed that Huawei will not get 5G from Qualcomm

Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei and CEO of Consumer Business Group, decided to reject the charges, CNMO reported. However, the source has good news regarding Huawei.

Huawei's smartphone business shows signs of improvement. Apparently, Huawei has raised its smartphone shipment goal to 40 million units by 2023. This is a huge increase, the 30 million target was set earlier this year.

The Huawei P60 and Mate X3 series seem to be the main reason why Huawei has changed its course. Huawei's supply chain is also recovering, which adds to the good news.

Huawei may announce the Mate 60 series later this year, but nothing is confirmed yet. The Mate 50 series arrived last year and the Mate 50 Pro turned out to be an excellent smartphone with excellent camera performance.

The US ban has made things very difficult for Huawei, but the company is doing its best

Huawei hasn't had it easy over the years. After listing the United States as a legal entity, things took a turn for the worse. Huawei is moving to become the world's leading smartphone maker, but it has since been banned from using Google Play services and further restrictions have been imposed.

Currently, the company is forced to use 4G processors and has had to create its own ecosystem within the Android operating system. Today, it offers its services through its own devices and its own app store.

How things develop from here remains to be seen, but Huawei still makes very competitive smartphones, some say among the best in the business. The company has hit its target of shipping 40 million mobile phones by the end of the year.

Huawei will not accept 5G chips from Qualcomm after they appear in Android headlines.
