[ Ed. Note: This post contains the mondo burn from Spider-Man: Via Spider-Verse .]

Miguel O'Hara / Spider-Man 2099

First appearance: Spider-Man 2099 (vol. 1) #1

What is his job?: Miguel O'Hara lives deep in the future Marvel 2099, a world dominated by corporations running crazy and dangerous innovations in genetic engineering and virtual reality. A researcher working for the evil and powerful Alchemex Corporation ends up falling victim to his experimental spider research, giving him fearsome spider-derived abilities and eventually the identity of the masked hero. A twist on the classic Spider-Man, Miguel is taciturn and devious in his super alter ego and honest real life lottery.

Authority and Responsibility Rating: 4 out of 10 by Uncle Pence.

Jess Drew / Spiderman

First appearance: Marvel Spotlight #32 (sort of)

What's the Deal?: Jess Drew's Spider-Verse crossover is an original creation, but its name (and overall look) comes from Jessica Drew's comic book predecessor, the original Spider-Woman. The comic Jessica, created in 1976 to stop animation studios from marketing the Spider-Woman name, has nothing to do with Peter Parker or Miles Morales, but draws her powers from a very mysterious origin story involving HYDRA, her geneticist. A father, and maybe a talking cow. So Jess from Spider-Verse is a complete reinvention of that concept - even though in the comics Jess has a book where she writes superhero stuff while she's pregnant - she owes something to her older counterpart.

Strength and Responsibility Assessment: Uncle Ben is not here. Only a cow can talk.

Spider bank

First appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man (vol.3) #10

What's the problem?: Sometimes a bad idea turns out to be brilliant. Such is the case with Earth-138's version of Hobie Brown (an old ally—yes, ally!—of the more famous Earth-616 Spider-Man known as the Prowler). A spider bite turns Hobie into an evil rock-hard Spider-Punk. Interestingly, this Spider-Man is the subject of much debate among creators: Artist Olivier Coepel intended to make it British Sex Pistols punk, but writer Dan Slott decided to turn the new CBGB Yorker on its head. However, Hobie has won fans by standing up for the people against corporate oppressors, leading the oppressed masses against the establishment and banging his guitar on the head of the President of the United States.

Strength and responsibility rating: 10 out of 10 Uncle Bens. The biggest responsibility is the rocks.

Paviter Prabhakar

First appearance: Spider-Man India #1

What's the Deal?: The Spider-Man Series: India 2004 was an unlikely collaboration between Marvel Comics and Indian licensee Gotham Entertainment, allowing Indian creators to re-imagine Spider-Man in their own cultural context. Thus was born Paviter Prabhakar, a boy from small-town India who was transported to cosmopolitan Mumbai and given the powers of a spider by an old yogi. After his selfishness allowed his uncle Bhima to be killed, he dedicated himself to justice, eventually facing off against Marvel Comics' main Spider-Man in the 2015 Spider-Verse crossover.

Authority and Responsibility Rating: 9 out of 10 according to Uncle Bhima.

Bombastic bag

First appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man (vol. 1) #258

What is the job?: Do you laugh? Spider-Man is wearing an extra Fantastic Four costume and a paper bag on his head, are you laughing ? Believe it or not, this version of Spider-Man actually has a lineage from Marvel Comics. At the end of the famous Alien Suit saga in 1984, Peter Parker was horrified to discover that the black suit he was wearing was actually an alien from another planet. As a result, he was briefly out of town without a suit on, but old nemesis Johnny "Human Torch" Storm reached out, gave Park one of his spare suits, put a paper lunch bag in his face and "kicked me". Score tag on the back for good measure. Despite appearing only once in the comics, this version of Spider-Man got his own action figure last year, more than we know.

Strengths and Responsibilities: Uncle Ben 7 out of 10. It would be better if he had shoes on.

Insomniac Spider-Man and Spider-Man

First appearance: Marvel's Spider-Man (video game 2018)

What's the deal?: He's just the funky-dressed Spider-Man from the 2018 PlayStation video game series. Peter Parker and Miles Morales make their game debut here in what must be a completely serendipitous Sony film production.

Power and Responsibility Rating: Uncle Ben 1-10 out of 10, depending on player.

Amazing spider monkey

First appearance: Spider-Man Family #1

What's the deal?: Earth-8101 is a land inhabited by anthropomorphic apes, not to be confused with Earth which is a licensed adaptation of Marvel's 1970s Planet of the Apes . Like their human counterparts in strength, spiders have very distinct (and quite admirable) personalities and are often willing to die in battle against their animal foes. However, after coming to the rescue of the multiverse crisis, he heroically loses his life while traversing the Spider-Verse.

Power and Responsibility Rating: Uncle Ben 5 out of 10. Evil monkey, but he turned into a real spider.

Spider woman

First appearance: Spider-Verse (Vol.1) #1

What's the cure?: Mabel Reilly XIX. He is a resident of a 20th century steampunk world where he was bitten by his father's test spider and gained extraordinary powers. After her father's death, and knowing the price of freedom and independence, May is attached to a mechanical arm (similar to Spider-Man's Iron Spider) and fights multifaceted battles alongside other spiders. - people

Authority and Responsibility Rating: 6 out of 10 Uncle Bensik.

Ben Reilly / The Red Spider

First Appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man (vol. 1) #149

What's the job?: Oh boy. Alright let's get started. In 1975, writer Gerry Conway and artist Ross Andrew began the feature-length story that became known as the Original Clone Saga. The clone is found by the evil Jackal Peter Parker, who eventually forces his partners to fight to the death, leaving only one of them alive. The surviving Parker then throws the clone's corpse into the fireplace, but he adamantly refuses to confirm with certainty that he is not a clone .

Two decades later, Marvel discovers that the ominous doppelgänger is still alive, dying blonde, calling himself Ben Reilly and fighting crime under the name Scarlet Spider. This series of revelations sparked the second high-profile Clone saga in as many years, as it was revealed that Ben was the real Peter Parker, then wasn't, and was finally murdered again. But you can't keep Spider-Man for good or bad, so Ben must have been born into the story of The Clone Conspiracy in 2014. As a more disturbed version of Peter Parker, he is loved, or at least very much tolerated, and has become a part of the Spider-Man universe. since then.

Strength and Responsibility Rating: Exile Uncle 6 out of 10. Points for longevity, but Peter Parker has been pretty tough if you ask me.

Spider girl

First appearance: And...? (vol. 2) no. 105

What is her job?: Mayday "May" Parker is a spider girl who shouldn't survive. Created by writer Tom DeFalco and artist Ron Frijns, originally What If...? In 1998, a snapshot depicting the adventures of teenager Peter Parker and baby Mary Jane Watson. However, the story was so successful that DeFalco and Franz were surprised by the ongoing Marvel series to host May.

What followed was a seemingly endless series of cancellations and fan campaigns to keep Spider-Girl alive, eventually culminating in a series of May Parker books published through 2009. Since then, she has appeared sporadically in the comics (almost always under the cover of the original book. creative team), and still maintains the love of loyal followers.

Authority and Responsibility Rating: 8 out of 10 by Uncle Pence.

Spider cat

First appearance: Spider-Island: I Love New York City #1

What's the problem?: He's Spider-Man, and he's also a cat. A favorite of the Earth-999 game group, Spider-Cat gained his powers by confronting the mysterious Spider-Totem in a story as plausible as one involving a mythical spider. Totem After donning the Earth-616 suit to fight crimes committed by small mammals and birds, he was tragically killed by the vampire Morlun in 2014 while preparing for Spider-Verse .

Strength and Responsibility Rating: Uncle Ben 10 out of 10. Brave cat. Brave brave cat.

Peter Butterker / Spider-Rex

First appearance: Edge of the Spider (vol.2) #1

What is his job?: Pter Ptarker , a T. rex living on the prehistoric world of Earth-66, accidentally encounters a meteorite filled with spiders that give him amazing spider-like powers. In his first battle against a Naranosaurus enemy, Tarker accidentally lets a tree branch take the bad guy's life, teaching him an important lesson about responsibility. A recent addition to the comic book canon, Ptarker survived a trip to our reality and a near-death encounter with Norman Osborn, and he still fights crime today as Spider-Man's greatest cog.

Authority and Responsibility Rating: 8 out of 10 by Uncle Pence.

Peter parked his car

First appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man (vol.3) #12

What's the Deal?: Who besides the author of And the Slots could Peter Parkour, in charge of Spider-Man's talking holographic car, be the creator of a web-slinging stuntman named Peter Parkour? Debuting in Spider-Verse in 2015, the ultimate Spider-Man comes from the Spider-Mobile, a toy company commissioned joke car used by Peter Parker in the 1970s. city. Slott later tweeted that he wanted Parkedcar to be from the Pixar dimension, so he would have the ability to speak. Currently, the possible whereabouts of Mary Jane Datson are unknown.

Powers and Responsibilities: 8 out of 10 passengers on Peter Parkedauto Uncle Pence must wear a seat belt at all times.

Webslinger (Cowboy Spider-Man)

First appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man (vol.3) #9

What's the deal?: Dan Slott previously introduced Marvel's Kid with Two Guns in the pages of his She-Hulk series, so it's no surprise Dan Slott didn't create a cowboy Spider-Man from the Wild West universe Earth-31913 to bring him in even though Little is known about Web Burner's mysterious origins, except that it is known that he is the loyal companion of his horse Spider (real name unknown). I think Peter's Toca Spider Horse is parked (so to speak). The Web-Slinger's most common appearance is in the animated series Ultimate Spider-Man , in which he teams up with Spider-Man to liberate a frontier town from the clutches of Doc Ock Holliday.

Level of power and responsibility: 6 of 10 cents uncle. This horse looks suspicious.

Amazing spider man

First appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man (2008 animated series)

What's the problem?: Spider-Man has many iterations of the popular animation, from the 60's version with the worm-themed theme song to the unforgettable 90's Fox Kids series. One of the most beloved and sadly remakes was 2008's The Spectacular Spider-Man , which returned the character to his roots as a high school student navigating the complexities of teenage life with superheroes. While initially controversial for its sleeker, less realistic design, the series has quickly gained a following for its ability to convey the essence of Steve Ditko's Spider-Man to modern audiences. So Pedro is this reality, for all intents and purposes, the one we know: geeky, funny, and still learning to walk the line between responsibility and power.

Strength and Responsibility Rating: Uncle Ben 5 out of 10. We will talk when he is 18 years old.

Spiderman Unlimited

First appearance: Spider-Man Unlimited (1999 animated series)

What's the job?: Ah. In the late 1990s, after a long and successful run on Fox Kids, Saban Network and its producers decided it was time to reboot the animated Spider-Man show as a faithful (and ideally low-budget) adaptation of the original Spider-Man. . Comic Men Unfortunately, Marvel just sold the Spider-Man rights to Sony in a deal that would eventually produce a series of Sam Raimi films, meaning that anything Saban makes has to be completely separate from any version of the Man myth. -A. Spider

Thus was born a show about Spider-Man's arrival in an anti-Earth technological future, in which he battles versions of Wolfman, Green Goblin, and other familiar names in unrecognizable (and late '90s incredible) forms. After limping through a lukewarm season, the series faded from the public consciousness, only to re-emerge as a big screen star this year.

Spider Maguire and Spider Garfield

First appearances: Spider-Man (2002) and The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)

What's Their Business?: Spider-Man spent an entire decade in Hollywood Purgatory before, by a minor miracle, in 2002, when director Sam Raimi finally brought the character to the big screen as Tobey Maguire. Though Maguire himself was considered an unlikely choice at the time, he managed to wow audiences with his tough and honest portrayal of young Peter Parker - despite his questionable dance moves in Spider-Man 3 . Unfortunately, the same universal praise is not given. Andrew Garfield's successor as Maguire, in the 2012 Spider-Man reboot, was the Ultimate Comics-influenced hardcore skateboarder, Parker. However, the two actors received rave reviews from fans in Spider-Man: Homecoming 2021, as they accused each other, as the meme predicted.

Strength and Responsibility Rating: Uncle Ben's 9 out of 10 (Maguire). 2 of 10 Uncle Ben (Garfield).

spider bite

First appearance: Spider's Lair #1

What does her job?: Margot Case comes from Earth-22191, a quasi-futuristic reality where Mark Zuckerberg's dreams come true and people spend their days playing meta-universe-style virtual reality simulations. To do so, Margot dons a spider-like costume and decides to fight cybercrime in her digital world.

Authority and Responsibility Rating: Uncle Ben's 2 out of 10. Points for effort, but you can't help but think it's Spider-Man trying to give a stern warning about downloading Napster. The movie incarnation looks cooler.

Spiderman 1967

First Appearance: Spider-Man (1967)

What's the deal?: When Spider-Man first appeared on TV in animated form in 1967, there was a moment for the character. The second animated series to be adapted from Marvel Comics and the first to feature actual animation, the series' memorable themes and sometimes subtle interpretations of Ditko-era concepts became iconic for a generation of viewers and helped Spider-one. Marvel Championship.

The Spider-Man of this cartoon universe is a lot like Peter Parker, working for the ruthless John Jameson at the Daily Bugle and battling his team of wacky villains, but he wears a strapless costume (preferably kept in cartoon fees) and speaks in a baritone voice at least. two octaves lower, is very much about his teenage years. He has been known to stand in circles and gesture to the other Spider-Men.

Authority and Responsibility Rating: 6 out of 10 Uncle Bensik.

First appearance: Spider-Verse (vol.3) #3
