Considering the source material, the inclusion of this spin-off might be a no-brainer, but Minecraft Dungeons has more in common with isometric adventurers like Diablo and Gauntlet than its open-world cousins. Pathia Games ' My Time at Portia is a hybrid of Minecraft and The Sims, with some RPG elements thrown in for good measure. You wouldn't know it from Waza's themes, but the game takes place after civilization has fallen, from which players must rebuild after emerging underground (literally).
