Google's Pixel 7, 7 Pro, And Pixel 6a Join The ARCore Bandwagon
  • Google's latest lineup of smartphones now includes support for the ARCore platform.
  • The latest devices added to the list include the Pixel 7 and Pixel 6a series.
  • Various models from Motorola, Oppo, Sony, Xiaomi, Infinix and others have also been seen.

Google has updated the list of devices that support the ARCore Augmented Reality Development Kit. Interestingly, the Google Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 6a are on the list.

This means that Google's latest and greatest Android phones can offer users ARCore functionality in the app. For those who don't know, ARCore is a platform for building augmented reality experiences using various APIs. For example, Kit lets you overlay directions and details directly onto the Google Maps view so you can get to your destination without getting lost. It does this by sensing its environment and monitoring its relationship with the rest of the world.
