According to the popular Weibo tech blogger @DCS, the Vivo S16 series will consist of three models. He revealed that the three models will use different chips. This series is powered by Samsung Exynos 1080, Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 and MediaTek Dimensity 8200. It is comparable to Oppo Reno 9 and Honor 80 series.
According to preliminary information, the three models in this series include the Vivo S16e, S16 and S16 Pro. In addition, all these models support 80 W fast charging. Until the release date, it was rumored that this series would be officially launched in early January. Chip Vivo S16 Dimensity 8200 series
The MediaTek chip is completely new to its lineup. The company released the Dimensity 8200 SoC on December 8. This chip is an upgraded version of Dimensity 8100 with major improvements in technology, CPU frequency, APU, and GPU. The Dimensity 8200 uses TSMC's next-generation 4nm process. It is also equipped with a 1 + 3 + 4 architecture which includes 4 Cortex A78 with a maximum frequency of 3.1 GHz plus 4 energy efficient A55 cores with a base frequency of 2.0 GHz.
Compared to Dimensity 8100, Dimensity 8200 has better technology and increased CPU frequency. At the same time, it combines the GPU Mali-G610 and APU 580. In addition, the energy efficiency is increased by 8% and 13%, respectively. Dimensity 8200 supports FHD+ display up to 180 Hz, WQHD up to 120 Hz.
Dimensity 8200 is also equipped with a MediaTek Imagiq 785 image processor, ISP HDR 14-bit which supports the main camera up to 320 MP. It also supports 4K 60Hz video recording, triple camera and HDR dual exposure camera.
