Week 45 In Review: Dimensity 9200 Is Here, Infinix Zero 5G 2023 Official
Another week in the books, let's take a look at the top stories from the last seven days. The Xiaomi 13 is completely flat. A new design has appeared in the render and we also have the dimensions: 152.8 x 71.5 x 8.3 mm. The thickness of the camera is 10.3mm. The phone is said to be powered by the latest generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
We've also seen renders of the Xiaomi 13 Pro, and it showcases Xiaomi's current design language with thin, profiled bezels and curved glass panels on either side. The Xiaomi 13 Pro is expected to have the same 1-inch IMX989 sensor as the 12S Ultra. The 13 series could be launched as early as December.
The Leica Leitz Phone 2 was launched in Japan. The new device shares its core hardware with the Sharp Aquos R7, but offers a sturdier design with textured metal sides, Leitz branding and a metal cover for the rear camera. On the back is the same 47-megapixel main camera with a 1-inch sensor. Developed jointly by Sharp and Leica, the sensor features a seven-element Leica Summicron lens with an aperture of F/1.9 and a focal length of 19mm.
Google has teased Black Friday deals for the Pixel 7, 7 Pro and 6a. Here is a summary. The Pixel 7 is discounted from $100 to $499, while the Pixel 7 Pro is discounted from $150 to $749. The cheapest phone you can get from Google on Black Friday will still be the Pixel 6a, which will drop to $299 from its usual price of $449.
The Infinix Zero 5G 2023 officially comes with the Dimensity 1080 chipset, a 6.78-inch IPS LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 50MP main camera. No word yet on pricing and availability.
MediaTek has introduced the Dimensity 9200. This chip is based on TSMC's 4nm N4P node and runs Cortex-X3 cores clocked at up to 3.0GHz, 3 Cortex-A715 cores clocked at 2.85GHz and 4 Cortex-A510 cores Cores first for efficiency. This chip supports 5G Sub-6 GHz, mmWave, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 and USB 4.0. The first Dimensity 9200 phones are expected to launch in late 2022, which is currently less than two months away.
The Realme 10 is another announcement this week, with a Helio G99 chip, a 6.4-inch AMOLED 90Hz refresh rate, a 50MP JN1 main camera that's slightly downgraded from the Realme 9, and a 5,000 mAh battery. The Realme 10 will be available soon, starting at $230 for the 4/64GB model.
