Jan Blomqvist Celebrates Day Of The Dead In Mexico And Talks Us Through A Frighteningly Good Selection Of Music

BERLIN-based DJ/producer Jan Blomqvist is often praised for bringing techno to the concert scene with BLOMQVIST.

He is used to touring with his band and flying solo as a popular DJ.

As a producer, he's released music on the biggest and best record labels, including Stil vor Talent and Highgrade Records.

Tonight you'll see SET Underground in Mexico play Tierra De Los Muertos, one of the world's most popular Halloween festivals, this weekend during Mexico's famous celebration of the dead with Adam Ten, Damon G and Denise. Horvath, Dramian, Frankie and Sandrino, Gab Room, Gloval, Kavas and others.

Jane made a playlist for us before the weekend. Listen and read what he had to say about the music below.

Jan Blomqvist - Canopée der Cimes

The name of the song is the name of the beautiful place where the video was shot. I made this for Circle Stories Chapter 2.

Röyksopp - Impossible (&ME Remix)

One of the best remixes of 2022.

Jan Blomkvist - Deeper Lands

I often think that my latest version is the most special. But this time it may be truer than ever.

Andhim - Nice to meet you

Put on your dancing shoes. - but convenient.

Jan Blomkvist, Bloom Twins - High on Beat

Collaboration with the wonderful Bloom twins.

Rufus Du Sol - Alive (Solomun Remix)

Rüfüs Du Sol in Solomun's review: you can't go wrong.

Nathan Fake - Heaven Was Pink (Holden Remix)

I can't believe this song is almost 20 years old. All time favourite.

Jan Blomkvist, Oliver Shores - Packard

What would happen if the world stopped for a year?

Stefan Bodzin - Boavista

One of my main characters for the last ten years.

French 79 - Diamond Veins (with Sarah Rebecca)

Final downtempo, enjoy it.

Fall Out Boy - HUG ME OR NOT
