"My photo was taken with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro phone and then I edited it with the free application Snapseed.

I am a recently retired amateur photographer living in Leeds, England. I'm obsessed with the historic city of York, which I visit often, not to mention the area around North Yorkshire.

I have a Canon EOS 80D DSLR with multiple lenses, a Sony RX100iv compact camera, and the phone mentioned above. For a dime, I usually use Snapseed to edit all the photos on my Samsung tablet. I'm always happy with the results.

My photo was taken on an early October afternoon in the historic city of York. Like the tourist crowds that usually dominate the home area for tea, I guess. York is rich in history and offers many photo opportunities for all tastes. There are interesting historical buildings in all directions, and one of the busiest areas is around Shambles. It is not easy to take pictures here "without people", the best time is morning or evening. I had to wait a few more minutes for the guys to disappear before I could take this photo, you need a lot of patience when you're in York.

I'm new to Instagram (@john_welllock) and have lots of pictures to post in York and the surrounding area, but I can be found on the York England Photos Facebook page, it's my 'home' in the world where I post the most. days
